Shadow Haven is made up of a network of massive caverns dug out of the moon. The Defenders of the Haven provide security for the city's surrounding areas, including The Bazaar, The Nexus, and parts of Netherbian Lair and Echo Caverns.

Three factions run the guild halls found in the southwestern part of the city, while vendors have set up shops in all areas. Shandling's Roost, the Luclin casino, is one of the city's more popular attractions.

Another exit to Pal. Caverns

Feeling a bit suicidal, I walked off the bridge near the Library section of SH. Under the water is a small, short tunnel that leads to a room with a deeeeeeeeeep drop (did i say 'Deep?'). I jumped and expected a Hole-like landing (=death). I ended spashing into the water of PC near the second bandit camp (Ringo's). I moved a little, but the Loc was approximately -755, 399. There is a small ramp-like formation on the cavern wall near where you drop (as a landmark).

Incidentally, with an 88 Cha, the most expensive horse would cost me about 111000 pp. With the reward from the Trade Commissioners quest, it's cut by about 1K. Cheapest horse goes from almost 9k to 300 less. One of the few *really* worthwhile quests I've seen in a long time.
What helps

Find the Trade commissioner in ShadowHaven and do the quest involving him. You get an Amulet of the Haven which has faction adds to it that seem to better your rating to people in the Haven. After doing that quest and ONLY that quest, I was then able to buy from most merchants in town finally, and my guild leader acknowledged that I existed.

Sneak up behind him and he will train you. He does not like Wood Elves or Half Elves. I used sneak to come up behind the trainer for the Rangers and he trained me with no problem
