| The city of the followers of Seru on the light side of Luclin.
Sanctus Seru is the home of a segment of the ancient Combine empire, those loyal to Seru. Their ancestors disagreed with the followers of Tsaph Katta, for reasons including letting the dark elves into the Empire, and had a violent split. Seru himself tried to assassinate Tsaph Katta, fracturing the empire. The followers of Katta moved to Luclin, and those of Seru followed in pursuit. They are a very rigid people, living under the watchful Eye in their police state. The people of Sanctus Seru keep minimal strength in both Dawnshroud Peaks and Marus Seru, although their military strength is very good, and they could quickly respond to any threat from their high walls. |

Add to mob list, Light blue to 65 Druid. Drop Ringmail Sleeves and usual NO DROP NO RENT Sword and Shield.

Let the Faction Hit Begin
Hunting for shards here is going to be a nice hard faction hit...this means running very fast thru MS and NL makes getting to SSRA fun :-)

SS shard also drops in Katta ! And is more common there imo.

Hello everyone!
I decided tonight to start collecting my shards needed for VT and started with the old standby of DSP. Dropped within 15 minutes of killing rockhoppers. Then went on to ME but it looked like another guild was there with the same idea as me. So I hopped on over to Sanctus Seru and starting killing the guards at zone in. First one was some Italian name, I can't remember. Second was a Legion of the Hand. I killed about 5 respawns of him and on the 5th my shard dropped, so I was quite happy.
Tomorrow, ME again, I suppose. Good luck!

A Primus of the Hand, door guard to Vantorus (SW) chambers and yellow to 65. Only saw one of these the whole night and she dropped a report. All the others were Primus Suchandsuch (listed above) and conned blue.

Is it Dead wolfy walking if you use wolfy form in here? Okies, been killing legos up in observation ramp for a while, heres the ****:
levels range from 49-52 approx.
the highest level, 52 will hit for max 153.
avg hit = 139, from lvl 49 legos.
HP = 6-9k
Fairly high MR, will resist roots, snares, slows after tash about 30% of time.
IMMUNE to fear
IMMUNE to Harmony, lol. Actually it will give you the message, target looks unaffected, not actually resist.
Hmm, drops are 15pp on average, some FS weapons and chainmail, and Lucid Shards for VT key.
Also, had one drop a pally spell, thunder of Karana, but this seems very very rare.
About half are indeed paladins, half warriors, and did kill a cleric once.
Anyway, decent xp, not the best not the worst, fairly safe place to hunt, none of these mobs summon, sometimes will get 2-3 on a pull, but usually can see roamers from far away and know when adds will happen.
Eye and heart faction goes up with kills, too lol. Eye of Seru also goes up with Katta guard kills. I should be ally by now im sure P

Wanted to add that lego Angustus spawns up on deck, does summon, hits for 175+ can be lv 56+, kinda burly. didnt drop squat

WTF? at least they coulda made a true evil city where necros are NOT KoS!! there is no city in luclin cept \sh where we can walk around or even have a hope of gaining faction. Ive been killing coteries in ME and tenebrous for what seems like a lifetime and STILL KoS in the 'evil' katta city! Even killed Valdanov Zevfeer 3 times STILL KoS!
Shadowhaven isn't the only city where your not kos, ever tried Shar Vhal? as for rasing faction in Katta, not sure man. Thought killing vamps in TM and ME would at least raise your katta faction to non kos. It did for several Iksars shammies in my guild who can now do the shield of bane warding quest. :P Faction stinks for us evil races. Even did for me also, though I wasn't kos in Katta at the begining, I did kill some katta guards but only to lower my faction to glares, I went back to killing more vamps in TM and got my faction back up to Dub.

i did the arena fight with 49 paladin. the wolf conned dark blue and hit for a max of 80 i think,was an easy fight(had about 2k hp and 900ac)i did not use LoH and it brought me down to 30% hp,when i turned in the medal the wolf dropped i got about 4pp,the mob is NOT level based because my 30 druid friend tried before me and he got chased through zone(guards do help the arena wolf btw), also, the captured netherbians in the jail cell you should steer clear of,they hit my 29 shaman for 150-200 extremley fast and also killed enchanter friend.

ican't get out of one of the pools, am i just bugged or something? I hate the pools!
Best way I've ever found to get out of water is to swim as far down as you can, then swim straight up and you'll pop out of the water like a dolphin jumping.... 'Course, if your Swim skill stinks you may not go more than an inch up, but keep swimming and you'll eventually get it

GRR, im also stuck in that damn pool. Ive tried everything, race doesnt matter either im a barbarian and cant climb over the ledge. No one ever jump into the pool with the statue, you'll regret it.

your right, race doesn't matter, i'm a gnome and i can jump in an out of the pools at will. i have had absolutly NO problem with said pools, very very easy to get out of.
Race does not matter.. But your swimming skill does.

I fell into the big pool while leaving SSeru late one night (bleary eyed and tired). Counldn't get out no matter what I tried. Eventually a druid friend of mine EBed herself, jumped in and ported us out. Note that she couldn't cast on me while I was in the water and she was not. We got a 'Bianca tried to cast a spell on you, but you are protected' message. She could group me, but when she tried to port us, only she went. She had to come back and jump in. EB, Lev, port all worked if she was in the water too.

Just FYI this is also the case with mobs. If you are out of the water and cast on something in water, it won't hit. This has been my experience anyway.

You have to be looking almost straight up when you are at the edge of the pool. Selo/SoW/JBoots help with this also.
I have minor trouble with the pools in Shadow Haven and that works for me there, about the same for me here in Sanctus Seru.
Of course if you happen to be a dwarf, halfling or gnome it could be a problem....

Sow/Jboots have Zero effect while you are in water, levitate does however.
It doesn't matter that your not KOS to the guards outside this zone. Zoning in as an evil race is enough to aggro just about everyone and your gone in two seconds. At least at my level you were. I zoned in and couldn't take the step back to zone out!
I am guessing this implies to those of us who are evily aligned...like my human shadow knight? SK's and Necros...no matter what race...have the WORST faction hits anywhere.

There are three ways I know of to raise faction with the legions of Sanctus Seru:
1 - Kill recusos in Marus Seru
2 - Kill guards in Katta Castellum
3 - Perform the quests given out in Sanctus Seru

Was running around on Povar (Vah shir bard 56) and I do not think the Aformentioned defendor was KoS to me. But! I walked by the Seru building and got smacked hardcore byt a Mob that mis spawned half out of the building. Nothing like being quaded for 400 and kicked for 200 to make ones jaw drop. Be wary.

you can do a zelniak meat quest to gain faction here... I'm hopping to get amiable before I trash my faction all to hell :P

Just for those that don't know,these are the guards inside of Seru's stronghold(locked)in the cneter of the city...
There are 2 known ways to get in:
A:A quest involving killing the 4 bosses of the houses(see post a bit further down)
B:Camp in any corner along a south edge of the building,when you log back in,you should be facing north straight into the wall,and should have moved a little bit into it.
Camp one more time and you should beable to move forward-but beware-the praetorian pius's will aggro you...
Now,does anyone know of a way to raise faction on these?...and do they see invis?

What lvl is the arena tiger?
Level 53 monk here. I did the quest and it spawned An Arena Wolf, which was a dark blue conning mob that looked like your average Chokidai or Scaled Wolf type mob. Was a nice little toe to toe fight.
So maybe it is level based?

how do you raise teh factions in the place starting from KOS, wouldent it be cool to just walk striaght up to the big boss dude and fight him w/o having to get the guards on the way

Fighting the Rescusos in Marus Seru will raise your faction with Santus Seru and many of the NPCs there. The Rescusos are akin to bandits on Norrath. They are a tough fight. Many cast and some are Rogues, so watch your back.

I saw a post on this sight saying someone worshiping rallos zek was not KOS to this guy. I just thought that on PVP Deity Alliance one of the groups was Rallos zek, bertoxx, innoruuk, and cazic thule. Maybe the defender of arx is only KOS to people worshiping good gods?

He is in Sanctus Seru.
If you go in the main gate from Dawnshroud, run straight ahead. You will see the gate that goes into the inner area of the town. do not go in that gate. Take a right and Faber is behind the counter in the 1st shop you see.

I'm a 30 human/drood and I cruised sanctus for a whole day checking out everything I could. I found many "apprehensive" and "dubious" but no one at all attacked me. I went everywhere I could get to and still no aggros. I have also never killed the guards in Netherbian Lair that everyone says give no faction hit. That pool that people get stuck in, I got stuck there too but I sow'ed myself and the jump out was easy, you have to pick up speed to clear the wall, lol. I was also checking out the citizens in the arena, has anyone tried one of these or does it aggro all of them into gang-lynching you?
