Since it is a Scout. And every BST epic mob is a Scout. It's kinda safe to Assume that this "Scout Tovi" character is for a BST Epic. Though the MoB itself is Green and Indifferent the MoB that is will Spawn when given the correct Item will prolly not be as big a push over.

Scout Tovi is lying on the ground among the Shissar Revenants at the Southwest corner of the Temple in the Grey. Green to 65, but quest related so not big issue on level I'm assuming.

I cleared the Rev's and attempted to sneak for about 10 minutes (I'm a halfling DRU) but still scowled constantly even though face buried in the sand.

He looks like a DE cleric or SK just from the armor. Will take back my DE nec and see what he says when hailed later.

Zoned into Grey on 9/15 and got a new named mob on track - cons white to a 65.

Named: Trembling Earthquake Elemental

When attempted to snare, received message: Your spell will not take hold.

Didn't get a chance to get group together and try to take down - assuming part of new quest or epic 2.0 mob?

Although this is an ideal zone for soloers to play, there is a negative ZEM (zone experience modifier) for this zone. From what I have read on many boards, there is a -15% experience modifier on the mobs in this zone. You will get xp if you hunt here, but 15% less xp for the same level mobs elsewhere in EQ.
Tidbit and Info

Had a little fun exploring and killing things through some zones. A few facts: Monks are GREAT pullers in this area. Unlike pulling in Maiden's Eye where trap mobs will camp the FD'er until the depop (usually a few minutes) I notices that these worms mostly will depop instantly. Also getting too close to certain boulders can spawn a pair of (a boulder fiend)s they are not listed above but rate as a 50ish mob. they may FD camp for a few minutes two. Most trap mobs drop nothing / zip / nada / ziltch. The various skeletons drop Platinum (Mmmmmm platinum) and gold. you can actually camp at one of the western corners of the temple and as long as you do not let mobs wander off too far when they go below 20% you can be quite safe. Good luck hunting in The Grey
Zone Trains
# Nov 28 2003 at 1:47 PM Rating: Excellent
Hello all. I'm a 59 druid and I like to quad the timeless golems near the entry to Mons. It has a nice "alley" that you can pull the quads down that is away from beaten path, so you never interfere with others in the zone, you get few adds and gives decent exp.

My pet peeve, however, is those who enter zone, run across pulling a train of as many mobs as they can, and pull them into the tunnel. The darn rock fiends do NOT wander after they zone, so they sit in the tunnel and wait for the next unsuspecting person to zone in or out. This also happens to be the succor point which can be fatal if you need to exit from a situation. I usually go in and pull the mobs to the outside when this happens and I notice it, but if you have been doing this and were unaware of the trouble it causes, please consider you fellow players and announce your train (most don't even bother), and don't leave them in the tunnel.

Next time you come in zone, give a shout and I will be happy to come get you and LS you across to Mons. If I'm not there, at least you can warn anyone else that may be lurking near the Mons zone line.

Good hunting. :-)

Would this be good exp for a 46 druid? DL is soooooo boring, ugh.
RE: 46?
# Feb 09 2004 at 3:08 PM Rating: Decent
You might want to try Mons Letalis - about the same level mobs (maybe a shade higher). Same old grind but different scenery, instead of fighting chickens and giant dogs you fight blue bugs and rock monsters.
A boulderling

These little buggers appeared from a trap. They throw pebbles for 50hp damage a time, summon and hit for 100 or less. They appeared three at a time and run in little bursts. Can be a pain as they bounce you about with summons rather than running up to you. They look like 3 foot high versions of the rockfiends.

Beware corpse dragging
# May 26 2003 at 8:26 AM Rating: Decent
This happened to me last night after my computer locked up while my bard was kiting in The Grey, thus killing me. I got there and put on Selo's travel song which does invis, see invis, lev, and Selo. A good corpse retrieval song, the only downside being that it drops as soon as you are hit.

Well anyways I got to my corpse which was of course still guarded by the 5 skellies that I was charm kiting. It was the tormented iksars to be specific. Every one I had conned while invis had been indifferent. But when I tried dragging my corpse away from them they instantly went after me and killed me.

So this leads me to believe that some of the tormented iksar can see through invis or that corpse dragging here is similar to how Kael was.

Quad on!
# Mar 31 2003 at 7:48 AM Rating: Good
I don't mind wizards or druids quadding in empty or near-empty zones. I do however mind when qauds turn sour in zones where other groups or other soloers try to get their thing going.

If you are one of those considerate wizards (or druids) that respect your fellow players and keep your quad out of harms way then I have nothing to say but congratulations to your exp and loot.

On the other hand, if you are running around quadding and suddenly face a problem you cant handle, then I strongly suggest that you do what is in your power to solve it, and ultimately gate out or die on your post trying, rather than possibly training others. That is what many other classes have to do in similar situations. Its still just a game, for you as for your fellow player.

Furthermore, I totally agree - a wizard doesn't have to be a manaburning L60 to be useful in a group, they are valuable assets from square one and forward.

I'am a lev 49 dru and I must totall agree with you I'v leared that I should always keep a gate up when soloing althogh I do forget sometimes witch for me that is involentary suiside in this zone. I would like to ask a question though I quaded some of the timelesses in this zone and was very impressed with the first quad I tryed to a seconds time but I dicovered one of the casting snake like mobs that cast some kind of necro snare dot that just kicked my but anyone know what spell that was?

Cascading darkness is a level 49 snare that slows movement 60% and does 1152dmg over 16 ticks.

#REDACTED, Posted: Dec 06 2003 at 10:01 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Ha... Myself, I don't group with druids unless I know them personally or a friend does. Wizards are fine. I've never had a problem with them. Guess it's the high int that dr00ds seem to lack.

man... thats like hating black people cause a black person robbed you 1 time... not all druids are bad, im dont pull stunts and get other people killed while im laughing on the other side of a zone i just trained. well usually not unless i really dont like the people to begin with in which case i would build a trin just to drop it on them LOL... /em Bleeds...
