Next time you see wiz lfg remember this. Granted it wont stop AE groups (thats the most fun thing in this game, if you have never done one then you are really missing out on real fun) and it wont stop quad kiting...but it would make it mroe rare. Wizards want to group also, we dont always want to solo. Stop whining and blame yourselves for the nerf.

Not sure this is the exact spelling, but was grouped with a few guildmates there last night and one pulled this guy. Appeared like any other Shissar, but was at least 55th level and hit considerably harder than the others.

We tried him with only three people present (druid, mage, paladin), took it down to around 40% of its life before our druid was forced to cast Succor.

It drops off Heirophant Grazan, the same guy who drops the Clattering Bone necklace and the Bone Braced Buckler. I've killed him 3 times. Got the shield the first time, the scimitar the second and the necklace the third. The necklace is his most common, followed by the shield, with the scimitar being his most rare.

Got a drop on the weekend here, a Chattering Bone Necklace. Zoned in and there was one group doing the temple, another group somewhere else, and our group based near SD. First pull was a named skelly that dropped it (sorry, didnt get it's name at the time) and we saw no others in the 4 hr's we were there.

Stats on necklace are ac 8 +6 str/sta +30 hp. Usuable by the usual melee classes, and tradeable. Quite a nice item, replaed the platinum saphire necklace I had never replaced :)

And for the record, the resist rate seemed the same as any other zone for me, as a 53 bard. I was mezing, chaining and fearing with no problems whatsoever. Definitely a normal working zone now.

No resists on manasong either :)

I have read all of the posts about this zone, and am just wondering what the problem is exactly? First off, let me say that I'm a 55+ cleric and have hunted in the grey only one with a pick-up group that asked me to come join them (after I rezzed one of their friends of course). I saw a druid and necro solo'n on the wall to the left of the zone-in point and a 3 wizard, necro, enchanter, and bard group. I didn't have any problem with any of them solo'n or doing AoE grouping. As a cleric, I have only been part of an AoE group in Sebilis one time, and it ROCKED. However, I can not solo anywhere nearly as well as some other classes. Do I choose to ***** and complain about how they can quad-kite and I can't? No, and neither should you other people and let me tell you why. When I choose to play a cleric, I did so because I like to group and adventure deep into dungeons. If I wanted to be a solo class, I would have picked to be one instead. I am under the impression that those that picked classes reliant upon grouping that a gun was not held to your head while someone yelled "Play a warrior or DIE!", so if you are looking for someone to cry to don't do so to me (unless a gun was held to your head, in which case you have my heart-felt apathy). Wizards have found a great zone to pull off AoE groups and let their skills shine and I say good for them. While I can't do the same... I'm not going to complain when I put up LFG and get fifty tells in five minutes and my wizard friend goes LFG and has time to go to the store while he waits. So please, please, let people group how they see fit. If you are jealous of the capabilities of other classes, perhaps you need to look at the great things you can do and thank Brell he has brought those benefits into your life, instead of looking at the downside of things.

Ok I stopped and read this and have the following to say;
Who wants to group with the quad-kiting jerk that took all your kills during 30 to 50th levels, I sure in the HELL don't. Now those druids and wizards I do play with know how to quad but they favor having friends so choose not to quad. Sure they can do it but they know they have 2 choices: Choice one: Play as a team player and quad in empty areas of zones OR Choice two: Quad in highly played areas **** off all players within the zone and get a bad rep and cry, *****, moan, groan and complain when they reach 50th+ and NEED to be grouped. I play a Mage which can solo and does, yet Veriant has seen not to give Mages Root,Snare or Fear for reason that it would make Mages Uber and higly unbalanced, thus we cannot quad kite. Well we can kill two mobs(with Jboots) I take one pet takes another, or go to Rathe Mountains and farm HG for cash summon an Earth Pet, Burn out, Expedience & Damage Shield it, then send it out to the top of giant valley and let it go nuts(did it once pissed off the whole zone so I stopped). So yes we mages can farm things but normally we don't. We are team players that can solo and with SoL we are walking Merchants. Need Armor, Weapons, Food/Water, Bandages, Light Source, Levitation Rings, Water Breathing Pills, and weight reduction bags. Tree huggers are cool and wizards often choose to solo play nicely and we can all get along otherwise don't complain when you can't find a group
#Anonymous, Posted: Jan 10 2002 at 1:46 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Wow you have some serious issues seems like you need some anger managment counseling. FYI any good quaders can do so all the way to 60 and its always better than group exp. I choose to group a good portion of the time because its more fun, but people like you who whine and cry about quaders are stupid. I don't personally quad in a crowded zone, mostly because of idiots like you, but I don't hold it against someone if they do because its the best exp for that class. You can't expect someone to be given that kinda of skill and not use it just because your group is greedy and wants all the mobs. A lot of people out there can only play during peak hours and don't neccessarily have the time to find a group every time they play. Please let them play in peace instead of being a whiny bish.

The reason people ***** about druids quad kiting is because they DON'T stop quaddign in a crouded zone. When I'm trying to do an EXP grind, I love to see a DRU run buy and drag away all the spawns I am trying to kill, just because he can. Most of the time, they aren't even getting EXP for it. For instance, try doing a HG EXP group with a 60 DRU in zone quad kiteing. It doesn't work well, and the hill trash is all pretty much green. All you end up doing, is spawning the HG's for a greedy druid to grab up and kite around. The problem occurs in just about any open zone where there are decent drops. A greedy DRU goes out to farm, and little lowbys and twinks get pissed at the greedy bastage KS'ing their group. Ever wonder why there is so much complaining about kiters? Pent up aggression from our 30's.

PS. Have a bard and a chanter to charm out from under them. Works great, and makes the farmer very very happy with you.

I hate druids who think they can waltz in and pick up MY freakin mobs and kite them around. I have NO qualms about selecting one and either rooting it or blasting it to get the agro. You want to train me...good! Stay there all day and bring em on! Might be kinda nice to have a "caller" without paying for the beer. Perfect case in point is camping the wyverns in Cobalt Scar. Don't worry..as a cleric I can rezz myself, but i have several druids permanently marked as NON-REZZABLE.

Look here, Mister Superdr00d, I don't normally get into all the petty bickering about *my class is better than your class* but this really got my feathers a bit ruffled.

I personally don't care if you druids/wizards quad kite or whatever. I don't even care if you quad in a busy zone. What I DO care about is when you sit there and assume that we clerics have the time and desire to go cleaning up the mess you made simply because you got pissed at someone. Purposefully training people is annoying from my standpoint because if I am rezzing someone that you trained, that takes away from my time and mana that could be used on someone that actually DOES need it! There aren't too many clerics out there that want to spend their precious game time rezzing people who were the victims of someone else's idiocy.

What you fail to realize is that every action has a consequence, be it immediate or sometime in the future. Sure, you might be all pissy because someone swiped one of your mobs, but you have to look at what your petty revenge will cost you. At some point, your own butt will be in a sling and you will need help. What a bit of irony it would be that the only person around that could help you would be that one person you trained on repeatedly 4 levels ago because of 1 little mob, or someone that knows that person and was told not to help you... Now your body is in Cobalt Scar or some other out-of-the-way place and you can't find a cleric to rez you because they all hate you for being an ***. My scenario might be far-fetched, but it's not entirely impossible... You say *well I can just port in and get my body* Think again bud. Remember that little crack about camping the other person's body and training them again? It could happen to you just as easily.

Bottom Line: We are all in this game together, so stop trying to be a badass and face the fact that you can't do it all alone.

Excuse me, but if you're complaining about power games, deal with it. This was obviously directed at dr00ds who quad in crowded zones. I'd like to see you try and train a necro, monk, or SK. Won't work for one reason. FD!!!!!! go ahead and take the snare off your mobs. train them back on us. We'll just FD and you can have fun trying to kill them w/o snare. Chances are, you'll run oom with them all still at a quarter health, and then yell train to zone or die. Either way, you've just lost all 4 of your mobs, instead of losing only 1. Do that trick to another int caster like enchanter or mage or wiz, all they have to do is gate, while you still have the same problem. Go ahead and do that, waste your mana and your time. Hope your cleric is on a different account.

You ppl who root our mobs are just sooo cool, lol. Better watch who you do it to though as some of us are very revengeful and a druid can get any character killed he wants if they cant FD...So Id think twice before I interfered with someone else's kite....Personally I dont quad where this is an issue, but we as druids have little choice since were worthless in dungeons....Also you can be banned for interfering with another players kites, its called harassment....

ok :) i have just got done with my weeks in maidens eye and finally come here. I got annoyed with the enduring breath . had to keep making waterstones for me and partner. If you don't have enduring breath get some stones from a mage and go invis to the temple "look out for snakes on the way" then sit in a safe spot by temple where someone is kiting snakes "believe me people will be kiting snakes" and ask to loot the organs if they don't want them. turn in 3 in katta C. for an enduring breath necklace. took us 30mins to get organs and 30mins to find katta. ok GREAT XP in this zone. me55mage and 54shaman sit in a safe corner of the temple. and i pull single golems because most people there are lvl 60 druids and wizards quading stuff mostly snakes and golems don't give lvl 60's xp most are light blue to them if that. they only hit up to 111 and have like no health power they die so fast . we can take 7 in like 5minutes then med up and be bored and do it again. Rare ones are verrry rare . but do pop around temple never seen a rare named roamer yet. Anyway Rad exp. for sure. gonna kill golems till 56 or so then snakes till 60 unless we get too bored ) but very fun around that temple. noone goes inside very much :) O> yeah kiters . Almost everyone that fights in this zone is kiting i'm not sure why . Everyone should kill here, and there is an Endless supply of mobs to kill so let them kite if they can. We got jumped 2 times already from someones mob when we were sitting down. We just kill the dam thing and say pls don't do that ) they say sorry and don't kite that close again. high fire and coldresistance otherthan that shimmering rockfiends seem to be the only thing not worth fighting. the zone is tiny .

Was soloing in grey along wall, suddenly out of no where some mob identical to Xakra Shah aggros on me, named Xakra Xei. I was at one bub of mana, had just chain killed two golems and a shissar, I was kinda worried because like an idiot I didn' gate memmed, at the time I thought it was a xakra shah, so I knew it couldn't be snared, so I look around to make sure I can fear it safely then run to zone by that time I notice it's hps are at about 40 percent just from mylvl 49 nec pet wailing on it, pet is at about 30 percent so I hit the thing with insidious retrogression and fear it, few seconds later its dead.

I had soloed a few Xakra shah before just out of boredom, and they were much harder, more hp, hit harder and for a nec not being able to snare makes things more difficult.

I haven't had a chance to group here for a lengthy camp since the first week of release. In a 6 or 7 hour camp, our little XP group got 2 of those nice scimitars, a bone braced buckler, about 5 shissar scale pieces, and a few other random loots. I'm wondering just how stingy the loot drops have gotten since then - how many drops would a savvy track and sow having group get on average in 6-7 hours during peak time?

my 2cp this and Grieg's are the most promising zones in luclin for low and mid 50s, with Maiden's right up there. Now if only Grieg's loot weren't nonexistent on the <56 mobs...

Fyrewalker, if you knew anything about wizards, there are 2 different aoe style spells for wizards..personal based aoe(used for aoe groups), and 'pillar' based, where it only effects 4 mobs. for quad kiting you use the pillar based..for aoe groups, which have been around since Kunark(see seb aoe groups), you use the personal based.

the diference is, personal based aoes go off from you and effect targets in a radious around you of up to 25 feet, where pillars are set up around the lines of 5-10 feet from your target.

AOE groups have been around since kunark, records have been made of groups pulling, and killing up to 55 or so mobs in a single round, though the ideal average is around 20-3o mobs.
