| While its long-dry riverbeds indicate it wasn't always the case, the Scarlet Desert is one of the driest areas on Luclin (save for a small oasis in its south).
It is home to a variety of species, from cheetahs and lightcrawlers to sunflowers and undead sun revenants. The Grol Baku, Tro Jeg, and Vas Ren alien tribes are all well-established in this area, as are the Blood Tribe of troglodytes which can be found in large numbers throughout the desert and inside the various caves in the area. A large plateau dominates the northeastern part of this desert. Be careful you don't step off the ledge and accidentally fall to your death! |

a scarlet rockhopper is also in zone . conned dark blue to a lvl 45 . dropped a superb rockhopper hide

Was bout to log and saw Sun Revenant Primatus on track. I was on the plateau but track led me to the ground. Snared, dotted, an rooted. Dead. Looted Ring of possession.

Popped open Track.....scrolled down..saw SCM...scanned this site for info...nada. I readied myself...snared ..rooted an dotted til it died. Easy kill for a 54 Dru..dropped Cheetah Paw Fetish.

I went to scarlet desert today and /con a scarlet cheeth and a sun revenant and they both where dark blue to me. I'm a 51 druid. I would have thought at the most they would be light blue. So if you go there remember they could be a higher lvl then what is posted.

Saw this guy today. It drops Book of Applied Magic. It looks like a book, but isn't the type you can read. Lore, but droppable. I don't know its level exactly, but it was light blue to 51, and extremely easy.
Anyone seen this guy spawn. Spent 4 hrs killing the 2 static camps with no luck. Did get "A Grol Baku Benefactor" to spawn who is not on the zone list. He dropped the Robe of Benefits a decent lowbie caster robe (int caster wearable only). Spawned in place of a guard at the SE camp.
Killed it today, 1800-2000hps, dropped a Mark of Affirmation.

He spawned at the lake in the south end of the zone. His PH was a Vas Ren Protector
was on far end of lake, with 2 protectors, would say 2k hps

Anyone just now taking up twilight armor quests be warned now that trying to get your specific mob to spawn can be a real pain in the rear. Scarlet Desert more so than any other armor quest zone (twilight sea, mons letalis, tenebrous mountains, dawnshroud peaks) is fubar'd when it comes spawning these darn things. I met a lowbie chanter whose life's desire was to complete her robe quest (includes a mob in mons letalis, one in tenebrous and lastly scarlet desert) by slaying the enraptured fire warrior in SD which I suppose is a tro jeg named she says all her reading up on the quest indicated such and that killing invaders on the 'tro jeg highway' which is off to the right from twilight zone in, no specific landmark really just a bunch of red aliens in the area to spawn her named. She is to date at least six months into her effort to spawn this thing, I've passed through alot heck even tried to help her clear aliens with my 65 druid main still have yet to see it. The point is the twilight armor named spawn rate can come off as being really nerfed for alot of people to the point its %&!@ing ridiculous. Hopefully sony will come around to re-evaluating mob spawns and armor stats the work for most the armor pieces isn't really even worth it.
Not so. All of the named spawns in Scarlet have set placeholders. Spend some time there and you will start to see a pattern emerging.
So far I have killed 17 different Vas Ren (out of 21 listed in various locations). At least 10 of these have fixed spawn locations, 4 are "yard trash" types and 3 can spawn at any static spawn point (ie. they are not wanderers).
The hardest mobs to chase are the ones that dont have fixed spawns (crawlers, cats, flowers), but even they have fixed spawn "regions" that can be cleared to make them spawn.

Just wondering if anyone has seen the Vas Ren Musician around. I've been here a couple times and died here a couple times. Killed a sh@t load of Vas Ren and he never popped. Does anyone know how to make him pop.
Killed this one today. It spawns on the edge of the lake. Placeholder is a Protector. Had 1600hps, light blue to me at 49 and dropped the Mark of the Mandolin
Killed a Tro Jeg Hooligan today. Does not seem much tougher than the others. It dropped a Hooligan's Mask Ac 5 Dex +5 Agi +5 Hp + 10

Everything in this zone is way under scored. i hunt here alot and most mobs, about 80%, con lightblue or darkblue since 50 and am 52 now and most mobs still con darkblue and give good xp. Most or all mobs hit for 75-110 double and quads depending on mob type and the revenants proc some kind of 75dd dot that can proc on you several times during a battle about every 4-6 hits you make so come prepared. everything seems to be able to be snared and/or rooted easily not many resists. I randomly found this sunflower while I was camping. Wasn't much tougher than the upper end sunflowers, but it dropped a Wet Thorn Cloak (AC10, WIS 2, INT 2, SVD 5, SVP 5) Not super, but definatly not bad!
