This giant temple is home to some of the mightiest dragons of Velious.

The south (entrance) and west wings are aligned with the Claws of Veeshan and thus safe assuming you are an ally. In the east wing are the testing halls with aggressive dragonkin, while in the north are the Guardians of Veeshan who are not particularly fond of visitors.

Level 46 is required to enter the zone.

everything is soloable by a 80 monk solt geared, except vulak. Vulak is duoed easily with my 73 cleric box in time gear. In case any are wondering if you wanna camp clickies. Most lord and lady fights are on a monk solo about 6-7 mins long with potions/self buffs.

Confirmed this mob does exist. This mob loves to Gate. I believe it can spawn in place of any drake as I seen in between Lord Vyemm and Lord Koi Doken at least that is where it gated to and summoned me. It was a roamer.

4 boxed info
# Apr 26 2005 at 9:18 PM Rating: Decent
4 boxed Dozer (dropped platinum, ruby and silver tears), Eashan (fist and mask) and ikitar (cloak and stinger). 70 war, 70 cleric, 66 bard, 70 sham. Eashan and dozer were a joke...cleric never went below 90% mana on either fight with shaman only healing bard occasionally. Had some trouble pulling ikitar until i figured out to go through the wyvern rooms instean of pulling straight through his door. Going back tomorrow to give some info on some of the harder NtoV mobs (gonna try to clear all of it before repop with these 4).

Basically any mobs in the Halls of Testing can drop the Skyshrine quest plate armor. I believe plate is the most common, followed by silk, leather, and chain.

OR, at Lvl 33, You Can Get a group in Great Divide and Kill Frost Giants for Faction, Loot, and Some xp. I did that for a few lvls, and got Max Ally with CoV in no time. (well, bout 5 lvls of time) Either way, its good

HOT mobs
# Jan 19 2003 at 12:43 PM Rating: Excellent
My guild recently went did HOT in TOV and here is some information about the mobs you will find there,
Red Wurms - Warrior Mobs - Enrage at end.. couple different Fire AE's: one is Lure based, other is easier to resist

White Wurms - Cleric Mobs - CH and Gate ... again, a couple different cold based AE's

Drakes come in a variety of colors:

Red - Warrior Mob - Enrage at end - assuming fire doesn't stick, but dunno *shrug* Someone help me out with this

Blue - Caster Mob - Gates, never had any problem sticking a MR or a DR based spell on them

Green - SK Mob - Enrage at end - Imprevious to Disease/Poison based spells, procs a slime mist (Slow)

Clear (Glimmer Drakes)- Unknown class - Gates, Imprevious to MR based spells

Black - Unknown Class - Enrage at end - Has Mana, does not Gate - Never any trouble landing MR or DR based - AE is a Acid Jet dot... annoying, occasionally fatal

Racnars/Wyverns - melee types - Enrage at end - Think Wyverns tend to be SK's, know I ate a HT or two

Recap, gaters are White Wurms, and Blue and Glimmer Drakes. Glimmers cannot be hit with Rend series, or necro lifetaps

Mobs stunable with Holy might, unable to stun with anything else.
mobs are all snareable

We did get adds from other side of the door once, not shure if it was because of a member of raid was kos, or just bad luck, pretty shure no one in guild opened the door though.

Hope this helps,

Shard Wyverns (the greyish white ones) are SKs, normal wyverns often rogues.

Glimmer Drakes are druids or at least rangers and difficult to slow.

The black drakes for which you have unknown class are indeed Shadowknights.

One big question I have, are they all mezzable? Those two wurms at the front are way too close to eachother for my liking. I take it that its impossible to split them? In that case, how do you deal with them?

Anyways thanks for the info above, one of these days... =)

Apparently the two front mobs when they spawn are inside the assist call radius of the other but when they walk back they stop slightly farther from each other. I know I almost always aggroed both with my first pull try and only one after I FD. Have a monk do that intentionally while the rest of your raid buffs at zone. Then the monk /quits out in case he aggroed any of the patrollers who are harder to memwipe.

i've found that with sneaking, and slowly walking backwards on the wall works, i manage to get a single pull every time, and this was at 56 or 57, havent tried it at my current level. looks really weird but it worked. sneak on the outside wall, have everyone at raid on other side. kinda confusing, have a wizard eye of zomm and make sure the roamer isnt in pit, it will mess the whole thing up

RE: HOT mobs
# Jan 25 2003 at 9:37 AM Rating: Decent
almost everything here is immune to mezz.

*however* some drakes can be charmed with CoD, the black ones for sure, i think some red and green ones too. Everything else is immune to charm also. Even if you get a charm to land, the MR on mobs is so high it will last under 30sec, even with 270cha and TD3 (

You can split the entry mobs with a good FD tag team or the cleric/chanter spell pacification
RE: HOT mobs
# Jan 26 2003 at 5:54 PM Rating: Decent
Really?? Pacification will actually keep these two from socialing eachother? If it does that would be major, I'll have to test that and see (loves suicide missions). Thanks =)

Aye Bards can Lull them I think at lvl 62? or so ,as well you can pull them single with proximity if you are lucky..what we always did when first breaking the pit was send the monk in and proxy pull and we would be on the opposite side huddled near the firepot if it was a bad pull the monk would die and we would try again...

The white Wurms BTW can be CoD charmed as well,Though everytime our chanter did it he was promptly eaten as soon as charm broke.

With my 65 enchanter I was able to CoD white wurms after tashing them first it seemed to last a lot longer but no where near full duration. Even with tash, 270+ cha, and TD3 they have way too much MR to be a reliable pet. However it was helpful with reducing an add and turning it into some dps even if only momentarily. I think I was able to charm a red wurm as well, but to be honest it's been a while since I've been in HoT so I'd have to go back to be 100% sure. As for everything else (other than the occasional drake) I recieved the typical you target cannot be charmed message.

As far as Pacification goes yes you can use that to lull the two pit mobs and single pull one. Proxy agro still works best with a 62+ puller and you must be careful with gaters since Pacification will wear off by the time a mob is at low health. If it returns to the pit it will agro the second mob.
HoT Comparisons?
# Jan 19 2003 at 2:18 AM Rating: Decent
How do the wurms in HoT compare to say, Kunark dragons? Tougher? Weaker? Apples and Oranges? Just wondering. Our guild/allies are pretty comfortable with the likes of Ragefire, but wondering what to expect from the HoT types hehe

Comparable to Ragefire, easier than Gore/Trak/Sev. The tougher ones are kinda like Gore without the dragon fear - probably more hp's than Gore, they can CH (and worse, gate), ae a bit. Mana sieve them with chanters, bards, sk's and whoever. Get all tanks on one side to push them to disrupt gates.
