This is the revamped version that released with Lost Dungeons of Norrath. However on progression servers, it releases with Gates of Discord.

Full of invisible walls, one-sided doors, twisting halls, and plenty of peculiar inhabitants, it is clear where the Plane of Mischief gets its name. Entrances are located at the southern end of the river in the Great Divide, and in the northern wing of the Temple of Veeshan.

Fun zone, should be funny loot to
# Aug 11 2002 at 10:59 AM Rating: Decent
I haven't been to PoM yet but I notice after checking out all the mobs here, it seemes to be a zone just for fun and no mobs drop any loot. I think it would be funny though if VI made funny loot dropping, like lets say a 1hslash that's 30/20, but gives -20str -20sta -20dex. Or a really uber 2hslash weapon, like 45/40, and only clerics can use it, hehehe. Would be messed up but this zone allready is :)

PoM info

The majority of people posting here seem to wanna know how to get to PoM. Well here are basic instructions:

1. Zone in to the Temple of Veeshan. This temple is located in the Western Wastes. It's very difficult just to get to the ToV. From Cobalt Scar you swim to Siren's Grotto. There's a sea dragon swimming in this ocean and if you are KoS to the Claws of Veeshan faction it will kill you! Once you get inside Siren's Grotto you'd better have 200 swimming skill because you have to make a mad dash across the zone. The stuff here sees invis and hits hard so just move your ***. Once you're in Western Wastes you'd better have a SoW because this outdoor zone is hella dangerous. Almost everything here is on Claws of Veeshan faction and even if you're ok with this faction there are still mean mobs here that are KoS to all like those wolves and the giant wurm type things called ice burrowers or something. Head to loc 700, 700 it's deep down in a huge chasm be careful running up to it without levitate you could fall for 10k damage and die. Once you're down there there's a ton of dragons on Claws of Veeshan faction and a particularly nasty one named Sontalak guarding the Temple. If you're KoS to these dragons you can kite them away from the Temple and then zone in maybe but it's quite dangerous.

2. Once you're in Temple of Veeshan head north only if you're not KoS to CoV. If you are KoS to CoV you can't go any further you will die. Once you run into a door with a named drake guarding it he will say something about the forbidden area of ToV lies ahead. The mobs beyond this door are KoS to all. Even if you're ally to CoV you are still KoS beyond this door. The mobs beyond the north door are on Guardians of Veeshan faction which is seperate from Claws of Veeshan. Everyone starts out KoS and there is no way to raise the GoV faction.

3. If you have about 50 or so friends with you you can keep going if you don't you can't go any further. Run through the north part of ToV with your friends FAST and I mean FAST because there are very evil named dragons and drakes that flurry attack like mad everywhere and they will kill you fast. Personally I don't see how you could get to PoM without killing everything in the way but maybe you could run past these dragons but a lot would die. You will run up a ramp and see a huge dragon with pets named Aaryonar don't even mess with this dragon if you just wanna go to PoM just run right by her she will kill a ton of people but maybe some will live. You will see a huge lava pit ahead run around it and you will run into another evil dragon named Dagarn the Destroyer he will kill more of your friends but keep running! Run all the way to the northernmost part of the lava pit and you will see a bridge. Take a right at the bridge and run into the corner. You will see a tiny little thing on the ground. Short races say it's a tiny castle but as an iksar it's too small it just looks like a rock to me. Click on it and you zone into PoM. Your deity doesn't matter here no one is KoS except for some mobs at the entrance that are KoS to all. Frankly it's pretty fooking stupid that you have to run through one of the toughest zones in the game to get to this easy plane. I know it's dumb but hey I didn't make it that way. It's a cool zone just way easier then what you had to go through in ToV so a bit of a letdown.

Jesus... where to start? Well, for one thing, that dragon in CS is ALWAYS dead so if he kills you be grateful that he's even up and go get 2 groups to kill him because he's easy as hell. Also, just get a succor in CS. It's easy. Takes you RIGHT to the WW zone line. No running if you don't feel good about it. Get a lev and invis in WW. If you're not KoS to CoV, the worms ans wolves will not see through invis. If you ARE KoS, you'll need to be more careful but it's still easy as hell. Just con all the dragons and stay the heck away from Mraaka (he looks like a wyrm and kills me all the time). Getting into ToV while KoS with a full pup outside the temple is easy as hell! First off, none of the dragons that line the wall will ever be in aggro range so if you aggro them, you've screwed up something big. As for Sontalak, just come in on a side and hug a wall. He won't aggro you. I do it all the time.

Having 50 people make a dead run for PoM is the craziest thing I have ever heard. Anyways, you make it sound hard to get to ToV. Haha it so isn't! I have gotten to the ToV entrance with a level 1 before. Then I found out it was a 46+ zone. *sob*

I Agree the run aint as hard as discribed . It can be done infact with a little wit if you have a Map of Ntov . I have done this Solo with a little help from a bard 3 times up to now and only failed once cause a Drake got a stunn on me at the last second and I died right above the Portal to PoM . If you are interested here is a Video you can download of a similar run done . The key is having Selo's before entering ToV for that 2.5 min high speed run .

I just was looking at the Planes list for pics of the dieties, and as soon as I looked at "a moldy sausage", I knew I HAVE to come to this zone when I can, even though that would be around the 1534896515343671534864th expansion...
Hmmm...how long does it take to gain 30lvls?
Seriously...I want to come here, any tips on lvling are greatly appreciated...

Well, here's how long it takes to gain 30 lvls, one day shy of 8 months, I dinged 46 on friday, which would be January 24, 2003. W00t! Already picked up a epic piece from PoSky (Which looks soooo cool). And if I get the nerve to go to ToV, I'll be here. P

Btw, would a agnostic Dark elf chanter be kos here? or is it like SH and Thurg? THANKS!!

8 months is probably normal for the casual player. This frog was most likely played by several people non stop blah blah blah mass guild effort......who cares. I wouldn't want him on my CH rotation with that alteration skill. 8p Only thing useful about this frog is his click stick until someone invests alot of time getting those important skills up.

Actually, no mass guild effort was made when a member of Harmonium created a froggy alt and powerleveled him to 65. Faahy was mostly duoing in Crypt of Decay with his main Faah. This guy wasn't non-stop PLed, he was playing when he felt for it. And the low alteration skill was fixed a couple of days after he dinged 65 as all the other skills which were low. Faahy has a couple of hundred AA:s nowadays so I don't see why you wouldn't want to group with him or have him in a CH chain?

Finally, 8 months is pretty normal as Merlin said, if you've never played the game before so don't think you'll do it in 50 hours as well.

Howdy ^ ^
I have found a way so that no matter what lvl yoo are 44 and lower it is actually very easy to get 1.5 yellows an hour. I have gone through many horrid expierences to find out what I know now- For one- finding groups would be tons easier if another chat channel was created...
/join group : group
...But anywayz I trust you can get lvl 10 on your own very well- If you are able to do a /who all # # LFG ... then you will be able to go to any +exp zone in the game that you wish- If you can do this then --> Befallen from 5-20 Najena 20-26/28
Keasora 26/28-40 The hole 40-60...
Those are the BEST places to lvl in the game besids luclin or vellious- I know nothing of those- But if you are able to get a VERY good group together then this path will be the quickest. Please note that I am an enhcnter and I consider myself to be allmost elite in skill... And the zones I have mentioned are inclined to trains. Should you go there please make sure at least you have a prinout of the zone's map and that you have read all of the posts on it. These zones also require an amazingleyt well balanced group- And thus I deepley feel sorry for druids and wizards, for they do have very good spells indeed, but those spells are "aggro lockers" - As long as you have a good enchanter I believe allmost any race'class combo is sufficient- I.e. have the chanty time his "mind whipe" spell so it will hit JUST after any "aggro locker" goes off.

Personally I believe that the BEST group for these zones would be Enchanter-Cleric-Bard-(pallys in undead zones)- and 3 monks. The mele can be decided for anyone making the group- but TANKS are not totally needed as much as hevy damage out put is.

As far as class balancing goes... Wizards should be able to DD a creature or put a DS stackable shield on every group member so that any mob attacking it would take as much damage as they would have if they were DD'd. Wizzies should really get a nicer line of DS spells. Druids should get more stun spells- Warriors should have a much higher AGI base- rangers seem pretty uber when in good hands )- shamans are simply not popular enoughf but still very good- mage's are good but should be able to DS thier pet as well as increase its aggro and AGI- RANGERS should not have the agro changing spell they have, that should be changed to make them selvs 50% less agroing like chantys can do, because when they replace the aggro the mob will allways go to the chanty or cleric. Any other clases I have not named I symply do not know enoughf about. I believe there should be system-wide messages about the coolest things that the most unpoopular classes and do. Just my 2cp :)

Faction hits
# May 21 2002 at 6:24 PM Rating: Good
Anyone know which specific mobs have bad faction hits with PoM? From what I have dug up so far I only know Stomples and Debris the Fish to have negative PoM faction hits, and Lithiniath has a negative faction hit with his own faction (Lithiniath faction, i guess).
MOB's in caps.
# May 12 2002 at 6:37 PM Rating: Decent
Ever notice that they spell out "YOU SHALL NOT PASS"? And also, "I LIKE THIS ONE". Maybe You, Shall, Not, and Pass will aggro on KoS players. Try talking to them.

While I agree that this plane is messed up, and is mostly just fro fun and cards, there has to be some hidden meaning. Explore around a bit, see what you can find.

Maybe since you enter this zone from ToV, it's meant to be a place for you to relieve yourself of all the insanity going on within ToV and share in a plane that you can relate to...eg:

Insane Person, Insane Plane

It's the perfect place to go whacko and let go of all that garnered psychotic-ness (umm.... spell check? LoL)... I'd love to come here for a wedding =P
I LOVE THIS PLANE

Looking for some real info on this plane, trying to plan a raid here in the near future.
It's not meant to make sense
# Mar 16 2002 at 4:56 PM Rating: Decent
I read all these posts about "What was Verant Thinking", "These are Stupid Names", and "This zone is a piece of Crap". I urge you people to accept that this Zone was meant NOT to make sense. Mischief, fun, zany, wacky, loopy. Role Playing isn't all Dragons and Tree-hugging. Even in fantacy, Gods like Bristlebane can loose their minds and shape the lands they inhabit in whatever way they seem fit. Ease Up, I beg of you. And have fun, for God's sake!
Sweet Zone!
