This is the revamped version that released with Lost Dungeons of Norrath. However on progression servers, it releases with Gates of Discord.

Full of invisible walls, one-sided doors, twisting halls, and plenty of peculiar inhabitants, it is clear where the Plane of Mischief gets its name. Entrances are located at the southern end of the river in the Great Divide, and in the northern wing of the Temple of Veeshan.

This zone has been revamped yet again with the DoD expansion. Fluvarian bandits are in the forest, no more bees, skunks and shrooms. They all conned indifferent to me. There are new MOBs in the castle too. I was able to walk right thru to the theatre area without invis cause everything was indifferent. Will get some screenshots for ya.

there is an exit.. there's a tree u click. i had every mob in the forest on me while running back and forth clicking every tree i saw and crapped my pants once or twice but i found it = ) it's near the fake bridge. if u run straight after zoning into Mis, run towards fake bridege then right before leaving the trees make a sharp left and click like crazy. when You are too far away, get closer appears then u've found the right tree. hopefully u'll live until u get to it.

Since I did not find this anywhere else, I'll post /loc of invis ramp (vis one is fake).
From moat edge looking at caste wall, find -623, 29 (left a lil ways from fake bridge) and run straight at castle wall to -500, 22. Voila! You are on the castle wall.

There is another invisible bridge at the exact mirror of the loc that was posted here. (little ways past the visable fake bridge) the right side) I use the right hand side because the named bee see thru invis and most times I am just interested in Alice in Wonderland area or trapsizing throu the castle.

The zone to PoM is now located in The Great Divide. if you take the stream in the middle of the map straight south until the end you will see a tiny castle sitting on the ground. Clicky clicky! The loc is -8246.04,-207.33

level 70+ epic 1.5/2.0 mob. spawns in middle of garden.

dont count on getting into the upside down area (unless theres another way in that im unaware of). also makes pulling the grand gardener tricky.

thanks for taking away part of my favourite zone, Sony. *growls*

AA XP isn't bad solo at 65 killing the trash in the forest, so I'd imagine real XP would be good at that level.

I will agree that this is my favorite zone in the game. Find a skilled guide and group to bring you through as this Warlord apparently has done and you'll have a great time. I get much pleasure hearing the reactions of those around me when seeing and/or hearing all the mischievous things this zone has to offer. Some super nice loot for all classes too. It's like 6 and a half different zones in one.

The plane has too many one way doors and portals... the only named my group ever killed was before the theatre...named chest of treasure.

piska:

there is also a named unicorn that drops excelent spells...barely tanked it at 52...it was certainly a quest mob that u would hail and it pretends waiting for someone else...

Just had a group in PoM, 61 Rogue, 58 SK, 54 Druid, 62 Cleric, and me 2 boxing a 54 Necro and a 62 Chanter. First time in the zone for all of us, great fun for all, except when we wiped. We wouldn't have wiped except I had problems targeting the adds thanks to a couple people having horse/drogma's up in a small hall. Loot isn't worth mentioning on the generic/yard trash, had a few gems but not too much. Good zone, will return next chance I get.
Curious
# Feb 04 2004 at 7:57 AM Rating: Decent
What single group type would be able to exp @ say the zone in area (which i assume is the lowest lvl mobs if not suggestions would be great) Currently lvl 57 Cleric and the group in question would probably contain low 50s SK, WAR, DRU, 2 CLR, ENCH.

If possible would there be anything to avoid or be aware of?

If not possible when would be a good time to come back or what other group setup may work.

Thanks for the time.

It's strange. I find Regular Exp is bad after 55 in PoM, but AA is great (can get amost BoT AA exp in the Alice in Wonderland wing), also named mobs give double exp.

If you're still in the 50s, I'd think that a full group would do fine there. Only the named mobs summon, and in the few hours I've spent there, I haven't seen one spawn anywhere near the zone-in. The few times the zone-in mobs have hit my Necro they've hit for around 300 max (though they hit relatively quickly), so if your group can handle tier-1 PoP mobs you can handle these.

Certainly they're easy for the Necro to aggro-kite at 62 when I want to safely grind out some AA XP and don't have anywhere better to go.

Why did they change the best zone?
# Jan 14 2004 at 10:58 PM Rating: Default
Does anyone know if the functionality flower quests still work, or if they will ever work, or for that matter, if they will ever change PoM back to the way it's supposed to be, instead of an everyday run-of-the-mill PoP zone? If someone knows, tell me, thanks.

There was a post on the EQ forums by a dev recently that this will be back to it's old form soon. However I will say that he might have just meant on the combine server, but he certainly did say it would be on ALL servers. I'm just wondering if he was confused for a minute when he posted it.
Group/Raid info

Group Info
The entrance of this Zone is now in GD at the end of the river.
This Zone is an ok XP area for low to mid 50's. The Entry area has mobs so it a safe place to pull to. There are only 2 ways out, Port, or Finding the tree that will port you to CS (in the middle of the ocean in CS , From there you'll have to go threw Skyshrine, Wakening Land, Kael, Easten wastes, and then Great Divide to get back to POK, not a great option). SO bring a porter with you.

Raid Info
Getting in to the Castle is easy if you have done it before. Go threw teh forest to the bridge, turn left (with out going on the bridge as it is fake), until you get to the area where the water and walls of the castle start to curve. There is an Invisible bridge at that point.

Once you get up it and back to the entrance in the first little room turn left and go threw the walk, this will take you to the main chest room. (Going straight will leads to a hole in the group that take you to the pit/maze).

From there you can use the map we us on our raids.

Go to GD follow the velium river to the south zone border. In a little cavity there is both a small velium waterfall and a miniature castle in the velium water. Click on the castle and ya end up in PoM.

The times I have been in since the revamp, it zoned us out to Cobalt Scar in the middle of the ocean. I think there are several different zone outs, but cant confirm this as of yet. The reason i think this is when you click anywhere in the forest I seem to get a "you cant reach this" message, but it seems to come from several directions.
What is the aggro range?
# Oct 27 2003 at 7:45 AM Rating: Decent
Last night had a pickup raid in PoM for something different to do; it wound up being a chance for our 2 necros to practice summoning corpses =( . With 16 peeps averaging out at level 55 heading to what is refered to as the "bridge" every mob we encountered to the invis bridge was very easy. Once we all where on on top of the wall we decided to kill one of the midget guards and fight our way in- bad choice was to allow pets...
Mob went to 15% when it fell over the wall and the pets chased; long before the dots finished off this runaway we had 7 to 8 adds- mushroom men, pucked mushrooms, killer bixbies, not sure what else I was dead. Chanter had only mezzed 3 mobs when it dropped on her first mob and aggroed her; cleric and shamans dropped quickly after that. Not one of us could keep aggro of of any of the healers- entire 1st mob till complete wipe was under a minute. This from an area even this site listed as very doable for the grps we had (not to mention 3 grps =/) to have fun in.

Any ideas on what I should do different?

We one grouped this same spot with a lvl 62 SK tanking, lvl 46 cleric healing, and 62 pally, 55 dru, 53 shamana, and 62 chanter.

All you did wrong was let the mob fall off the wall. Same mistake that can kill you anywhere else (chardok comes to mind).

Tank needs strong lock on aggro, and DO not use pets on the wall, unless your group knows to back them off if the mob gets near the edge.

We had a couple of mobs fall off the wall last week (pets were tanking since the only other choice was a druid or necro, no plate classes in the group), but didn't have any problem with adds. Maybe because I'd snared it so it couldn't move far enough to bring back friends... the pets and DoTs finished it off.
