what is the purpose of this spell already have cure spell?

Poisons have counters. Cure removes 1 - 4 counters. Counteract removes 8. Some poisons are short lived but deadly, so a quicker removal is critical. Same for diseases and curses.

The link from EQRangers.com for the spell Exile Summoned directs to this url. Check the name of this spell though...it's Counteract Poison, another lvl 61 spell for rangers. That may be causing some of the confusion stated below. Good luck.

As of this date, Wanderer Thermon in PoK does not carry this spell. I was able to find it in Firiona Vie. The druid, Ariel Fern sells it.

Direlee Furme in N Freeport does not appear to have this spell, Geep Tresoj in the same room does as well as some of the rezz line spells

You can get this spell from Altha Shadowjumper at Rivervale in the cleric guild. As a matter of fact, you can find all level 24 cleric spells with the merchants in this guild.
