I still havent figured out real point or use to this spell, except for its lvl, and mana cost, it is exactly same as DeadEye. I just used it to train dinv because its higher lvl. Anyone els know any real point to using Shadow Sight over Deadeye?

The difference between the two would be that this grants See Invisibility and Ultravision (the night vision Dark Elves innately possess), whereas Deadeye grants See Invisibility and Infravision (the night vision possessed by light-skinned elves, Iksar, Dwarves, and so on).

Otherwise, apart from the mana cost, they are very close. However, just because this grants the "better nightvision" doesn't necessarily mean it is better...infravision, for instance, is better for picking out snow cougars in Iceclad Ocean against the snow (Dark Elves being turned over the table in this matter...as they innately possess Ultravision, they cannot "downgrade" to Infravision...except maybe by using an illusion? Not completely certain if that theory would work).

Good post, just replying to say yes, illusions allow you to "downgrade" your vision. As a high elf chanter, when I use human illusion I lose my infravision (and DE grants me ultravision).

Down in the Reaver (Shadowknight) spell area of the library.

Reaver Muron tells you, 'That'll be 11 platinum 3 gold 4 silver for the Spell: Shadow Sight.'
