I'm not sure of the new "formula" for LoH. However, I can give a bit of insight for all the new-ish paladins:

#1) LoH is no long a regular ability as they have moved it's location to the "class" tab of our AA window and has a total of 17 tiers. (though you still get this AA at level 1 when you begin your paladin) You will get the first 11 "free" as you level to 80 or 85 (cannot remember which) and then they begin to cost you AAs, believe it starts at 4 AA per rank.

#2) Doesn't seem to be 32 x (lvl) + 1 as my level 85 Paladin (LoH (he is at 11 / 17 on the tiers) or healing AAs, and no worn healing focus) heals himself for 29,751 (non-crit)

#3) Doesn't seem to be effected by worn healing focus effects, I have equipped my 60% increase to healing item, and still heal for 29,751 (non-crit)

#4) LoH can be hastened down to a 24 minute recast with all 4 ranks of Fervent Blessing (reduces by 12 minutes per rank) 72 - 48 = 24

I created a froggy pally, leveled it up to lvl 12, then started making the various hotkeys you make for toons... clicked my actions window ablities buttons... no LoH. Bash, Bind Wound, Taunt... all the other usual stuff, but no LoH!

Think I'm gonna keep it like that, just because it's odd, and make me another pally.

LoH is now an AA ability. You get the first rank at lvl 1. Go to your AA window and make hotkey.

The Max LoH I have had WITH Improved LoH aa is 13500 without it criting. I can crit for 27k max. I believe that LoH is maxed at 13.5k with improved LoH aa. Even though the AA description says it turns it to a "complete heal" it does not infact complete heal me.

I have 16.7k buffed hp and I can only get 13.5k back from LoH and that's max unless I crit. Just a little FYI for all you pallys out there so you don't think your loosing your mind when your not full health after LoH :D

you don't. it's an innate ability you paladins have.

if you go to your actions menu, right click any blank button you should get a option box that pops up witha list of actions--bind wound, etc. when you find LoH, click it and make it a button.

Just a few notes on LoH.

Lvl 70 paladin. 4200 hp with no buffs. 2.5k hp naked.

LoH myself yesterday for 3561. This confirms a few things.

1. LoH is NOT based off you naked hp.

2. LoH is NOT based off 32 x level + 1 formula

32 x 70 + 1 = 2241 ...that's a far cry from 3561...

3. LoH is not based off buffed hp.

All of the above are true for me at lvl 70..not sure how this applies to lower lvl paladins...as they probably have a different formula.

I'll probably post more here once I start the LoH AA's.

I'm no Paladin, in fact my highest characters are necro and SK, but i know 2 things about this, 1, it doesnt scale based on yer health, twink a level 1 paladin to a few hundred health and then LoH yerself for 33 health and you'll see what i mean. and 2, HT formula changes at around level 40, dont really remember the formula for HT after that, cause its been 3 years since i made my SK, but it gets a bit bigger post 40, LoH probably does the same thing

Recast = 1 Game Day

FYI,

"Recast" of this (reuse is probably a better term) is 24 hours game time. In other words, if u cast it at 8am Game Time, 8am the next day you can use LoH again.

Also not entirely a complete heal. It is limited to the number of unbuffed HP's you have at your level (i.e. pre-Temp HP value).

BTW: it is my understanding that 24 EQ hours is 72 RL minutes. If i am wrong, please correct me (so that i know. LOL)

Also there are AAs that decrease the "re-cast" time by as much as 50%, and one that turns it into a CHeal (7500HP).

Posted as info for the few true newbies.

Also, i believe that the formula for HP healed pre-AA is: 32*level+1, but cannot verify.

Yep 72 minutes Real Time.
And as for the 32 x lvl + 1 formula. it sounds right.
at lvl 1 it healed for 33
level 3 was 97
level 4 was 129
level 6 was 192
and level 10 i got 321.
Pulled the totals from my logs.
They healed pretty close to my unbuffed total HP too.
still not sure about things. my paladin is just about to ding 11 atm.

Yes, 72 minutes is the recast time.

Not to shut u down or anything lol, but 32xLVL+1 just doesnt seem correct when i did the calculation for my level--seemed to low amount. I've heard multiple times that LoH heals for the amount of HPs u have W/OUT any buffs on. But i also cannot verify. Can any1 else clear it up? :)

It is indeed 32xLVL+1, has been for years :) Has absolutely nothing to do with your unbuffed hitpoints. As far as the AA's for LoH, Improved LoH turns this into a "complete heal" ... 10000hp, not 7500.
Personally I was hoping for an actual full heal, instead of a measly 10000hp!

Open up inventory. Alternate advance window. Go to class abilities. Scroll down to Lay on Hands. Click on Hotkey over to the right.

Ok, you know the screen that has your range attack, and autoattack keys on it, and 4 blank keys below that?

If you're using the default UI, it should be on the right hand side of your screen. Same box as your sit and find keys, but different tab on the box.

Right click one of the blank keys, and select Lay on hands from the list of choices. You have just mapped LoH to a key. Now, drag that key to the 10 slot box on the left, and drop it into a blank slot, and you have it hotkeyed.

The ability is where the action key is. U just have to use alt-m to get to it. U can get it under the "attack" tab or the "skill" tab. All U have to do is left click on blank or right click on assign button. The popup menu shows U the Lay of Hands with other skills. Just click on it and move it to the hot keys area. Tada. U now have it.

Its not a spell, its an ability. Every paladin already has it, as soon at they are created.

Pull up your ability or combat ability window, right click one of the keys, and map LoH to that key.
