if it dont root in duels i dont give a but with <-50> resist (same as icebane) it better root some tanks
I feel ripped off that necros can crit upwards to my wizzy in pvp and also HEAL themselves with the same nuke they hit me for.
this wizzy is SICK TO DEATH of seeing <-200> on necro spells and seeing <-50> based resists on the BEST wizard lures. either necros taps gotta be nerfed in duels or other casters need a defence.
SONY!!!!! GET UR SHAT TOGETHER AND FIX THIS GAME BEFORE I QUIT

If you are a wizard, you should know that our Lures (such as the spell Icebane you mentioned) are a -300 check, not -50. That happens to be better than -200 (the necros you were complaining about.)
As for PvP, I've crit for 40% many times (heck, I've noncrit for 40% on some people.) I've never seen a necro do 40% on one cast unless they LB'd or the person was naked. Lol

Instead of complaining about what other classes have, why don't you complain more about what you don't have?
The "nerf other classes because they have stuff I don't" argument solves nothing. All that does is hinder your friends, your guildies, and your raids.
If you're pissed off about PvP, then don't PVP. Necro's are by no means overpowered in PvP. If you want to complain about things being overpowered in PvP, try fighting a melee some time.
Seriously, stop whining about necromancers and start finding ways to play your class better.

After checking Lucy to be sure... this is not just a root... it's an upgraded root as it has a -50 check to cold against the mob and a 1.75 cast time... pretty nice really... makes solid rooting a more likely ability... just won't help in ice zones much heh
actually, oddly enough i've had excellent results using this on cold-based creatures and in ice zones. i have successfully used it in icefall glacier and many other places.
strangely enough, the mobs do not seem to resist this as one would think they would. it lands about as often as a magic-based root.

This is from Prophecy of Ro. (check PoR manual) Unknown how to obtain at this time. The "mezz" effect appears to be snare or root, as far as the manual describes the spell. If anyone finds out how to get ahold of it, please let us know.
go to The Devastation, loot Lore No Drop tagged Hides from 9 different red con mobs, turn in to Grand Librarian Maelin, find book binding, combine 9 items recieved from maelin in this book binding, turn in lore books vol 1 and 2, receive spell
you get task after looting first hide, then if you are in a group when you turn in the 2 books you receive a task which is necessary for the Theater of Blood key

This spell does not do as much damage as other spells we have but to be able to nuke and root at the same time is nice . There is no location information, is this spell in game ??
