bst as slower
# Apr 09 2006 at 8:21 AM Rating: Decent
I find when i am ina group as the slower it helps to have the 2 good slows loaded. If one gets resisted you can try the other without having to wait for first to become available again.
useless slow?
# Aug 31 2005 at 12:48 PM Rating: Decent
why does this seem useless to me? same slow % as 65 spell, just higher disease counter? is it even worth getting? im only a 62 bst, but am hoping to get all my USELFUL spells, which there seem to be less and less of post 60... but thats only in my opinion...

You can Aquire this by Turning in a Glowing Muramite Rune to Karsor the Mad, it does not matter how many you have turned in so far, if you do not have Sha's Lethargy, he will give you this one.

It's cool as a pre-slow or Raid-slow (cause most mobs will be dead before 1:30) and chances are it's going to be my permanant slow from now on, as i hate resists on spells and 200 mana is not much for me to recast of course if you have extra gem slots laying about, you can always load both

For all that the duration on this spell is mostly for crap, you have to keep in mind that 'most' of the things you fight in the day to day are not going to live all that long.

It doesn't seem to be as much aggro as Sha's Revenge but that may be me. I generally 'like' the aggro generated by resists against slows and/or recasts as I am normally tanking in experience group situations.

I've been messing with alternating Legacy and Revenge on mobs as they will overwrite one another indefinitely, being the same % slow. This seems to keep hate up pretty well.

It is also really nice for pre-slowing as it lands very easily by comparison to Revenge.

Honestly, I don't have any complaints on this one other than the fact it's long overdue.

This spell comes from turning in a Glowing Muramite Rune to Karsor The Mad.

The only reason I would use this spell would be to slow the mobs as they come in before the shamans or enchanters slow. Beasts Pre-Slow because they can take the hits alot better than the other two slowing classes.

In the Pre-slow case the duration isn't a factor cause the spell will be overwritten. I would not use it if I am the only slower in the group, because of the lower duration on it.
Acneit rune NEEDED!

you get it with an ancient rune k... acient runes are only from raid mobs in DoN zones the last two spells for everyclass..except fclasses without spells...will be gotten with ancient runes.

Amazing, but there's no correct info at all in that post (that's been eaten by the ratings filter now) :

1) Ancient Runes drop from RSS royalty and every Anguish raid mob of OoW
2) Pure casters get 2, hybrids get 1 and pure melee get 0 Ancient spells (ok, got that one halfway right)
3) The Ancient spell for BSTs is Ancient: Savage Ice, this spell here isn't in game, but if it ever makes it to live servers it probably will be a normal lvl 70 rune.

Where to find this spell?
# Apr 25 2005 at 10:27 AM Rating: Decent
I have the 3 glowing muramite lvl 70 spells. I tried to turn in a 4th glowing muramite rune to Karsor The Mad hoping I might get Sha's Legacy. He did not accept it. So, at least we know it is not a OOW glowing muramite rune spell. I guess that rune will rot in my bank for now. :(

Anyone else have any information on how to get this spell?

The new slow is not available in game yet. This is something the team is still working on. There is a possibility that this will make it live in the June update but this isn't an guarantee.

mana drain
# Apr 11 2005 at 11:40 PM Rating: Decent
The duration looks like the only issue, since it seems they have took beastlord mana costs through the roof as of late. To reduce the duration 1/2 and make it take an additional 50 mana... so in short unless I'm in a super group I'm going to have to cast it twice because if a mob that hits for 1200 all a sudden isn't slowed bad things happen.

Yes, this does have it's benifits far as raiding though, but I think that is as far as I would say it's helping.

Also our old slow spell doesn't get resisted that much and for when it does we have protective spirit defensive discipline for 18 seconds of safety. If your tank isn't grabbing argo over you casting slow then you should find another tank anyways, or just tank for yourself.

hrmm.. you really don't see any advantage to a low resist slow? in a group? in RSS at level 70 against the red stuff I often get "unlucky" with slows and it takes 5 or 6 times to slow 'em... versus an enchanter or shaman who is basically gonna get em slowed after a set period of time... what that means is that you have an unpredictablity of mob dps when a beastlord is slowing.. and it can really fubar a cleric up when he doesn't know at what point you're gonna get the thing slowed *shrug*
I've had a group wipe just because of not being able to slow a mob.. granted wasn't *all* my fault, but if the thing had been slowed we wouldn't have wiped on it.. and I'm sitting back there for 20 seconds trying to slow it hehe.

Anyone know if this spell made it live on April 12? And if so, how do we get it?

Try dispelling oow mobs prior to slowing.... they are buffed. after i dispell mobs my slow usualy lands on first attempt

Good for them
# Apr 03 2005 at 6:02 AM Rating: Decent
ench/shams aren't getting corresponding slows.
This is just a low resist slow, its not a debuff too... This is only here because bsts generate too much aggro with their crap slow.
Tash/Malo is also getting its hate generation reduced greatly, so don't whine about bsts being overpowered..

Now maybe people will be more willing to have Bsts in their groups. And hell, maybe even raids if this stupid spell is good enough to land on those kinds of encounters..

Hey, they needed it badly. Anyone who ******* about it = a total jackass.
RE: Good for them
# Apr 28 2005 at 8:45 AM Rating: Decent
Actually enchanters ARE getting a corresponting slow and Shamams have had theirs since GoD went live. Should take a look at shaman lvl 65 spells and enchanter lvl 69 spells and see what I'm talking about.
better or no?
# Mar 30 2005 at 1:05 AM Rating: Decent
Isn't this basically a copy of sha's revenge with less resist, more mana cost and shorter duration? or is the % greater? correct me if i am wrong, but a greater % of slow would be more beneficial.
RE: better or no?
# Mar 30 2005 at 2:17 PM Rating: Decent
This is apprently the low resist slow that was promised Beastlords as part of the class re-evaluation. Higher mana cost lesser duration compensates for tash / malo that shamans and enchanters have to cast. If enchanters / shamans do not get corosponding low resist spells, beasts may be the most reliable slowers in the game... since the spell mod on this slow will stack with malo / tash.
