Updated, thanks. I assume you meant Quill of the Arch Convoker and Conjuring Thickener, not Summoning Thickener.

the new combine for thhis spell is prepared runic hide + ink of ro + ink of the companion + quill of the convoker + ink additive of the nameless + summoning thickener. i hope this is all of it

Ok, Here is some info to make this easier for everyone you only need to research 2 pet spells for each tier, Here is why 2 pets from each tier are available from the spell merchants in your home town, and the spells alternate..
IE ) The Greater Summoning Line you get
Fire Pet and Air Pet
The Minor Conjuration which is the next line of pets you get
Earth Pet and Water Pet
so to make Minor Conjuration Fire and Air just buy the Greater Summoning ones ..
Sony did this on purpose so you dont have to make a spell to make a spell, this makes more sense and is the way it is, go look if you dont belive me...

at level 34 it takes 15 items to make this spell and half of them may not work when previously researched. 39 is 18 and 44 is 21 and 49 is 24 pieces. etc. etc.

Your math is flawed. For the level 34, even if we assume you only buy the lowest possible spell and craft everything else, it doesn't take 18 components. You do 3 to begin and end up [assuming a successful combine] with one of the components for the next round, so you only need 2 more, hence 5, then 7, then 9, etc. as you branch out. So, according to your line of thought, it should really be 13, not 18 (first round uses 3, next 5 rounds use 2). And furthermore, wouldn't it only be 11? 3 to make the L16 spell, then 2 for levels 20, 24, 29, and 34, for a total of 11? Do correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm not saying it isn't a lot of things to collect to make a single spell, I'm just saying that it's not nearly as many as you have stated, especially for higher levels. Especially when you consider, like Noitallguy pointed out, that most spells have a cutoff point somewhere where you can buy a higher prerequisite spell.

Actually it only takes 3 items to make this spell -- seeing as you can buy the level 29 fire pet from a merchant in abysmal sea (and I believe other places as well).

Found this in the qeynos casters guild sold by Hanlore Escaval. He also sells Sent of Marr. You need this to make the 34th fire pet.

I may have missed it, but I did not see this spell in Katta. I saw the same "source" you did, I think. Seems to me that the Fire and Air pets for this level have to be researched.

According to another source I looked at some time, there are some vendors somewhere in Katta Castlelum (sp?), maybe possible to find out where they are by doing a zone search, but anyway, they are meant to sell some or all the pet spells (maybe for all classes) between 34 and 49 (with the rest being researchable or dropped after 50)
I believe it is found up on the 4th floor (may be 3rd floor) of the mages tower in Katta.

How did you manage to get up to the 3rd or 4th floor of the Mage's Tower in Katta? I couldn't find anywhere to get up there.
