After a little bit of parsing on a guild hall dummy my conclusion is that the CoV orb is 20 to 25% more DPS for me. The average hit is almost identical so all of the increase in DPS is derived from the fact that the CoV orb triggers spell procs (Surge of Ice, etc) while the EoK orb does not.
