funny for all those that said this spell "Blows" or "SUCKS";

A lot of older posts ******** about how this spell was a complete waste of a Rune turn-in.

I disagree. 1000%.

Some mobs I've encountered on raids, such as Queen Sendaii , send out AE debuffs/DoTs that do NOT have any kind of counter. Thus, Blood of Nadox (or other Cure-type spells, such as Antidote) simply don't work. The *only* thing that will remove these types of detrimental spells is a cast of RC3-RC9. And considering the amount of time between cycles of using RC, it's just not practical. Not to mention the fact you cannot RC anyone but your own group.

In situations like this, Pure Spirit is the *only* way to remove these types of detrimental effects. And for that reason alone, it's worth *2* Runes!

(Besides having a 75 ENC, I also run a 75 CLR during raids. I lately acquired a SHM, and have been learning the ropes of running one...so I do <kinda> know what I'm talking about.)

I just noticed this on this spell and it's true of all the other spells too.

Look at the raw spell data, it has some values in there listed like drulevel - 127, maglevel - 127, shmlevel - 69. That means if you could hack it somehow and make a level 127 character you could use every spell ;)

Wouldn't that be fun? You could slow, snare, dot, debuff, heal, buff completely, and cast all assortments of pets. I'm sure in EQemu you could do that. I can just imagine a person walking around duel wielding paladin epic 2.0s with a skeleton, spectre, air, earth, water, fire, a veritable train of monsum, tiger, wolf, croc, spirit wolf, imp, drake, black bear, and brown bear pets just following them around all at once. Each equipped with their own deadly ******* of summoned pet items or just crap you felt like giving them because you can summon anything.

/sigh, if only you could do that, even just for a day. =P

Anyways, the whole point of this post was to point out that every character can technically use any spell if you can attain level 127.

This is not true.

127 is coded to represent can't cast.

the only conclusion you could make about the fact that it is 127 for every class (that can't cast) is that IF eq ever gets close to 127 max lv they will have to revamp their code so ppl can have lv 127 spells.

Most games use 0 to represent this, but maybe eq uses 0 for innate abilities or something

I was helping on a SK epic mob in dulak the other day,Captain something,anyways he had a ae slow spell, that went of every minute it seemed, notonly does it slow melee,but also casting. One cast of this removed the debuff. However, being slowed, and the recast time on spell, i was able to hit the ma, but by the time i got to ramp, the slow got cast again.

This spell sucks @$$ .. it has long recast time and take several cast to remove anything .. maybe if it was a group cast it would be ok but when you have to cast it like 4 times to remove one detrimental thing and then cast it on the 5 other players in the group it just isnt worth it.

So i got this spell today and it takes like 4 castings to remove anything =x... I tested it on myself by malosing myself then casting it, it has a long recast time....

So it works by reducing the detrimental counter by 6? I was hoping it would wipe out upto 6 determental effects. Well that sucks.

If this goes live it will be one of the greatest spells ever added to EQ. The ability to remove a detrimental effect no matter how many counters which is recastable fairly quick will be invaluable.
