Why they giving us 2 lvl 70 cold DDs w/ only difference in them being 170dmg and 30m? they're exactly the same otherwise... We could have easily used another spell of bout any kind instead of one of them. Bad enough we get the gimp lvl 70 group DS for 55dmg when at lvl 70 55dmg on ur group is bout laughable since only 1 or 2 ppl will get hit lest u all gonna die. In raids a magi will be DSing so is almost lame any way u look at it unless u wanna go tank some friggin greenies :oP just my 2cp
The reason there's two ice spells is because one is "ancient" (latin for: ridiculously hard to get.) If you do manage to get it though, it'll be a decent up grade.
Also, spells like your DS line have uses other than for "ubar raids". Yes, that's right, your spells may be applied for more than one use! How about that. /douchebag off

Mage fire bolts have always been superior to Druid DDs /shrug. Nothing new here.

I have both a Druid and a Mage and they both nuked for the same amount before OOW... When OOW came out and they hit level 66 now the mages normal blast is equal to the druids crit! Once I get the druid to level 70 I get a new blast that is still inferior to the mages 66 spell... go figure :p
Hmmm Druids nuking like old school Wizzys lol wonder how well this would do with a Improved dammage Focus effect and AA crits?

On average from 2400-2600, with crits as high as 5200. But, I don't have a Discordant Ice item, so possibly slightly higher than that.

Use it after Dawnstrike procs Fire of Dawn. You will be critting for about 10400 then.
