As an update.. the level of this pet is roughly 58-60. It cons light blue to me at 68 and is red to my 54 wizard. That's all I wanted to say.. otherwise.. nice upgrade as far as SK pets go.

Nice lifetap
# Dec 03 2007 at 9:42 AM Rating: Decent
I am assuming it is a lifetap that this pet casts. All I know is if you turn your pet spells on in filters you will see this pet quads for 60 and has spell damage of 300 which is going off often. Pretty decent imho.

The proc is a lifetap... and it doesnt seem to do any extra damage when kiting so it more than likely is not a rogue so the caveman that simply said "rogue" in a comment for no apparant reason (I guess he was grunting out that he thought the pet was a rogue) was wrong.
RE: Pet
# Mar 31 2006 at 7:23 AM Rating: Decent
I think the person who simply said "rogue", was referring to the spelling of the word :-)

(see spelling in subject line of original post)

No.
He is dark blue.
A dps pet, even though he only does 30 dps until you get him buffed up and such.

Green con pets are the best.
Pet hold aa as well.

FD. Pet attack. Pet hold. Stand and bring the single mob back to camp, from a crowded room of mobs.
Pet has to be green to the mobs for it to work.

My guess is that this pet is a rouge. It has fewer HP than our last pet thus the incredible REGEN rate. It is great for kiting etc. If behind the mob the DPS doubles according to my parson.

the regen isnt "incredible"... it procs a lifetap.

cool pet
# Oct 14 2004 at 7:22 AM Rating: Good
This is a nice spell, been usin' it a bunch. Can even use it on raids, weee. With it's hella regen while not attacking he can regen many dots or AEs even from raid mobs.
Hits for 65's, crits for 107's, is level 60, get *** beat down by lotta higher level green con mobs... can solo ice giants!! wuwu!!!
Regen
# Oct 05 2004 at 11:10 PM Rating: Decent
Yes it is nice to have a blue con pet...but best thing I have found so far is its regen rate. Mine regens about 9% per tick, that means he is full health in under a minute (this is between fights standing #'s not LTing while I tank).

wishful thinking
# Oct 04 2004 at 6:49 PM Rating: Decent
Does it cast slow?

Something useful. I'm supposed to be a tank, I'm not there for DPS. At least that's been the SK perception for a while. A pet that casted slow or stun or something to help me do my job would be good =/.

Quading for 65 helps bring our dps up to what? A warriors?
RE: wishful thinking
# Nov 21 2005 at 10:43 AM Rating: Decent
Don't knock warrior DPS... they are a pure melee class... I've done ALOT of damage parsing and most of the time Warriors are 3rd or 4th highest damage dealing class in groups and raids behind rogue then monk then rangers. Haven't gotten to parse many Zerkers since they are a rare breed but they should be right about ranger levels. Go ahead and flame me for saying it but if you think about it it makes perfect sense. Casters can OWN on DPS for short periods but then they are OOM and sitting doing nothing while pure melee classes (i.e. warriors) are still putting out their damage. And from what I have seen an SK in an XP group with a warrior tanking can DPS just short of the warrior... of course if they're tanking the SK has higher aggro lower damage type spells loaded instead and loses DPS, at least that is the info I get from the SK's I talk to when I parse them. =)

Your pet is also one of your most mana efficient dots. It's also an incredible pulling tool. It's also a decent amount of added DPS, according to numerous SK parses, with mage summoned weapons, it's even better. It's also a nice kiting tool.

Giving us a pet (especially this one with it's nice regen rate) is a very nice bonus for when you're also on raids to add DPS when you're NOT tanking.

The idea that SKs are a purely tanking class is false. They are meant to be the most offensive of all the plate tank classes... including warriors. This may not always be the case, but don't make things worse by not using the pet and sarcificing some of your dps.

lil info
# Sep 23 2004 at 5:58 AM Rating: Decent
He has the same skelton skin as our lvl 64 pet, seems to quad for 65 and cons dark blue at lvl 70.
Alltough I'm a little disapointed about his look, it's making the pet aa's more tempting.

SKs and Necros
# Aug 20 2004 at 12:43 PM Rating: Good
I don't think that this spell will be a spectre, sorry to say... Spectres are suppose to be extremely complicated to conjure and only Necromancers of the highest skill have such power to controll one. Shadowknights are not trained in the dark magics as much as Necromancers are and that's why their pets "suck"... Why do you need to have a powerful pet when you yourself are so powerful already? Necromancers pets fight *for* them; Shadowknight pets fight *with* them. Besides, your last pet that you got was the necro lv 49 pet -- You can't expect to jump from that and go instantly to a spectre.

Shadowkinghts are not suppose to be as magically-powerful as a Necromancer, and not so fighting-capabe as a Warrior. It's your skill in both Necromancy and War that makes you so damn awesome.
rogue
# Aug 02 2004 at 8:49 PM Rating: Decent
a rogue pet would be awesome, even if the HP on it sucked. our pets were never meant to tank big mobs. that's our job.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jul 21 2004 at 11:52 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) it's only lvl 41 it's crap!!!
be a cool pet!
# Jun 25 2004 at 2:59 AM Rating: Default
I HOPE HOPE HOPE this pet looks like a spect, I'm sick of having a lil' skelly. If it looks like the ice shades from ToFS that's be nice too ^.^
as for it's stats if it's about equal to the level 59 necro pet I'll be happy, if it's a warrior tye pet again. Or a rogue pet would be hella nice fer some good dps.
hmmm
# Jun 21 2004 at 10:34 PM Rating: Default
the good news here would be that this is NOT the name of any necro pet. We are, at long last, getting a unique SK only pet. I freaking hope it's tuned to our needs (tons of hp) some dps upgrade over our old pet but unless it's got a crap load of hp there's never going to be a sense in summoning it as ae's, enrage, etc. kill our current pet instantly.
