This spell is like duct tape.has a thousand and 1 uses, all of them pretty cool.Havnt tried it but i bet you could get some pretty good screenshots from the mobs point of view on raids.
So useful

Okay, I will spill the beans on the greatest use for this spell.

Yes, I use it for fun. Its hilarious on a raid, to bind sight all the way to the last mob, even when raid is forming. People wonder if you are cheating :)

But for practical uses, as a ranger, I have had people ask me, "Whoa, how did you pull that?" or "How did you break that camp?" The secret? This spell. Lets say you're going into a room. You can see the first mob, but that's it. You target them, step back a bit, and cast Bind Sight. Then you can look around, target, and harmony every other mob in the room. Then simply retarget the main one, hit it, and step back. I've harmonied my way all the way to Venril Sathir, solo, without killing a single mob using this method.

Use this tool to its advantage, and it will take you everywhere. I pity the rangers I talk to who don't even know this exists.

Thanks
Alan
Possible use?

can this spell be used on a tank as he goes into a place away from caster. Can the caster then cast spells from far away place just by looking through tanks eyes?

yes - but normal range rules apply. The caster can however use the tanks vision to target mobs he normally could not see for pacification for example

This is true but misleading. The range on this spell is Huge. Large enough to cover most zones, and I myself have never received the out of range message when using it.

zoning while binded

does the binded sight stick through zoning?

This spell will not stay after a zoning, also it has a limited range (like 500 feets seems) and it's duration is restricted by your stamina pool. Fun part is that your target got NO CLUE you casted it :oP

No. Your sight will return to normal if you or your target leaves the zone where you bound your sight.
a worthwhile spell

I have had a lot of fun with this spell! Friends with the spell bind my sight, while I bind to theirs. Emoting each other to see what we look like to others, like looking in the mirror. Or, bind sight to an enemy to get a feel for what it's like to get its butt kicked by you.

On the more practical side of this spell, I have found it most benificial and use it quite often. You can use it a number of ways to your advantage as a reconosance tool. My personal favorite is to bind to someone who is about to go into a place I have not been, or bind to a player of a higher season than myself that is going where I dare not go! Another way to use as recon would be to set up players in your group at lookout locatoins in a zone with that rare spawn you've been hunting for weeks (for those of you without tracking) while you bind to your competition's sight, incase they see it first. Tell your man closest to the mob to get the jump on it before it falls prey to another camp! Yes, a ruthless hunter am I. Although that would be more along the lines of hunting strategy than spell usage. Just one of the ways I have kept my edge over other players after the same thing.

It's also a great way to find the patrol paths of mobs you don't care to get to close to yet, or patrols through a group of mobs. Just be sure you're in a relatively safe place before you use it for any significant length of time. It has a range that will stretch from one side to the other of most zones, so you can sit wherever and med., hide, fish (until you catch something), etc, while you learn patrol paterns or just see the sights of the wondering wildlife.

I'm sure there are ways to use this spell that would suit anyone. I would highly recomend shelling out the few plat. it costs to buy the spell, even if you don't use it in your daily casting scheme. I hope I have instilled some inSIGHT to one of the most fun spells in the game. <8-P

I have'nt had a chance to try the spell on pets, so I can't comment on the possabilties there (or if it would work on a pet or not). Rangers dont get many pets. I'd sure like to see some info there.

As a Shammy soloing in Dreadlands I got tons of
good use from the Shaman's version of this spell known as Vision. Sometimes an add would come along and if it was a close fight, I would beat the first mob down until he ran and then let him run off.. After I had dispatched the add, I could use the key command for 'last target' to target the original mob (who was sometimes halfway across the zone by the time I caught up) and then bind sight to it.

It was a fun little game to use the landmarks to determine which way the mob was heading since I didn't have any tracking abilities.

I also was able to park my pet and use him as a lookout to make sure the camp was clear before I started to pull a mob from far away. It's a great, mana cheap spelly imho and some folks dont even know it exists. Smiley: sleeper

Casters Realm -- Bind Sight.

Casters Realm is pretty good for much of the information you need on spells and such. Another good site you may one day need is devoted primarily to spell research -- Mythiran Tower.

I hope you find what you need. Best of luck.
