It gets resisted very frequently... stopped casting it because it was just a mana burn

I've had this spell resist 5 times in a row. I have to use Engulfing Darkness first, and this cast Dooming Darkness. Once it sticks, works great for slowing while kiting.

Went to buy Invoke Fear from Vicar Ceraen and saw the following Necro/SK spells on him:
Dooming Darkness
Boil Blood
Vampiric Curse
Word of Spirit
Also had a double digit number under qty column for these spells...others had normal -- shown. Got Dooming Darkness for just over 5pp...much cheaper than posted above - haven't checked if prices overall came down. Just thought it was "interesting" these spells would be sold on vicar...oh, well, bought a copy of each.
Checked with Muron and same price...I guess prices have come down.

This spell sucks, yes longer duration and more dammage are good things but as a 30 necro in gog my level 11 spell isnt resisted by mabe 1 time in every 10 pulls, tryed it with this spell and i get resisted usually 3 out of 4 cast thats just pothetic i mean the lower level one lands on reds with almost no resist but this one cant land on blues for nothing.
This is the spell you want to have. It is a significant upgrade to Engulfing Darkness. The Duration and %change in Movement is what constitutes the upgrade in this spell line, the damage is just bonus (I wouldn't care if it did 0 Damage especially if it lasted longer and slowed movement even more). I personally used this until I got the PoP snare spell, in otherwords it was the snare of choice until well into my 60s.
