Just bought The Sweeper for my Spirit of Uluanes (BST 70 pet) and conned before sweeper with a 71 Druid and it was dark blue. Put on sweeper and resummoned and it was still dark blue.

Tested on my 75 BST. Good thing it was only 10k.

Just confirming for Beastlords that this focus does work on the Spirit of Sorsha summoned warder.

I was pretty pleased to find this out on my BST as in readings elsewhere it appeared that the earliest pet that could be focused was the L68 Spirit of Alladnu.

According to Lucy, yes, this is still capped at level 75. This is consistent with what Sony has told us they are going to do. I don't have a 76 pet yet, but I am going to be annoyed when I have to replace this. :)

no, it dosen't

At some point in the future, the developers plan to change how pets are handled, data side, to allow them to be more dynamic (change would be invisible to the player). When that occurs, focused pets for the non-pet classes are entirely possible, as the data side work to maintain them would be minimal. Until then, non-pet classes will see nothing but a "base" pet, regardless of whether or not they're wearing a pet focus at the time of summoning.

that goes for All pet focus effects.
Definately worthwhile over MoD

I never managed to win the roll for Qvic boots as those were always randomed out. I never seen the pet focus from Zun, Queen, or Battlemaster, and never seem to have enough DKP for anguish boots. First time I seen the ruby ring in Yxxta I passed as it was actually a minor downgrade short of the focus from my current ring then.
However today after going to Yxxta again to farm BiC pieces, I was the only usable class in the mini raid of 14 people. So I looted it.

Here is my initial observations of my pet from MoD. At level 75, it is like the pet is summoned with Virtue, and avoids hits a quite a bit better then MoD. It's DPS output is negligible at best, barely noticeable. At first I was not too impressed with the pet focus...

Then I summoned a raging servant against a mob... now I was very impressed there. Before my RS would only manage a 525 hit tops with MoD and never managed a crit. Now scoot over, this RS can now hit for 1415 and crit for 1928.

Overall, I am loving this focus now. It makes casting the RS worthwhile instead of waiting on a GoM proc. For 15% mana, the cost of 3 bolts. This pet will now out DPS them, and generates me very little argo. If you have RS, or another type of powerful pet, this focus rocks. Just cant wait for CoA boots now :)

Ok so I just got the Vision Shrouded silk pants tonight and WOW huge difference between minion of darkness and eternity! WELL worth the trouble to get the pattern, swatches and powersource! I would reccomend the quest to all mages unless they have the 30% focus of course =)
Very nice upgrade!

I got the Ruby Ring of Embellishment a couple of weeks ago and my spell level 68 pet, Spirit of Alladneu, who was hitting for 89 and critting for 149 now hits for 99 and crits for 162. Also, the pet was an even con to a 63, and now cons even to a level 64 PC. All in all, a really nice item for pet classes!

does this stack with summoner's boon???

When you have something that is a focus effect for your pet. It does not stack with other effects. When casting the pet it does the check accord to whichever one is the most powerful. Its pretty much the same as all effects. Only one of each will work at a time.

Summoner's Boon is only 15% as opposed to this ones 25%, I'd be impressed to see what the stun becomes on an Air Elemental Pet or what kind of Level increase it gives my Fire Pet that is a Wizard.

It's not a percentage. It's just an indicator of relative pet power increase over other pet focus items.
