every dot in the game has an error, for some reason, coding, or whatever, the game has set when dots go off, or something like that, anyways, because of this, every dot does 1 extra tick then it is suppose to, look at a spell next time you mem it, and read it, it'll say 48 secs, 8 ticks, but it will do 9 ticks of dmg, every spell does it, just try it, instead of blamming LUCY, they have one of the best spell data's out there

Because it's coded for "tick zero" which, if I remember correctly, begins at 0 seconds.

It's really quite simple. You cast the spell.... it does damage.... then 6 ticks go by, then damage.. then 6 ticks etc. until the last one at the end. So if it lasts 1 minute.... then damage strikes 11 times. Just look below, the pipe symbol represents when damage occurs on a tick, the periods represent the ticks when no damage occurs. Welcome to the world of DoTs. :)

A tick is 6 seconds and DoTs do damage every tick not every 8 ticks or 8 seconds or whatever you are thinking. Also as any seasoned necro knows the server is set to update itself every 6 seconds. As a result you will always get an extra tick out of spells since you will always cast the spell mid server-tick. Also if you notice multiple DoTs don't do damage at different times, they all do damage at the same time as the server updates itself, every 6 seconds. DoT's unless they have a DD component do not ever do damage the moment you cast them (unless you cast on the tick then it only seems to do instant damage but is in fact not), you have to wait for the server-tick. Welcome to the world of Everquest :)~

The counter starts on the first tick. So the initial DOT damage that is done, not talking about DOTs with a DD initial strike, starts the timing of the spell giving you your "extra" damage. Espins wasn't wrong, just misunderstood.

Will Affliction Efficiency Work w/ This?

This spell does 950 damage over 5 ticks for 320 mana. The problem is thats a 30 second duration. Affliction Efficiency is listed as working on spells w/ a 36 second duration or more. If true, then Affl Eff items won't work with this.

In that case, Envenomed Bolt is better (unless your getting resists). EB costs 320 mana, w/ Affl Efficiency it costs 240 mana. EB does 110 initial DD then 146 per tick for 7 ticks. In 30 seconds (5 ticks) it will do 850 damage. In 36 seconds it will do 986 and in 42 it does 1132.

So even in a 30 second fight its better since you save 80 mana for a 100 less damage. And if the fight lasts longer (which most do) you get even more damage for less mana.

These spells have the same cast time, but EB has a much shorter recast time. The only nice thing about this spell is it has a resist adjust that may make it useful when your getting resists w/ EB.

I hope they change Affl Efficiency to work w/ these new LDoN spells otherwise they are not better than what we got.

I don't know how it generally is, but I get the message that my AE4 item (Ahlspiess) flickers just as I finish casting this. So it's probably working.

You are right to those who said it is from LDoN. From my understanding you can "buy it" from one of the vendors in the new camps with your adventure points. The number of points you receive from an adventure depends on your level. I read somewhere that the new spells will cost around 60 adventure points each. If I am wrong please feel free to correct me.

First off it's on test currently for LDoN and the description says 54 Necro making think that a Shaman doesn't get this spell and by looking at the spell line I don't believe a Shaman will ever get this spell. All involve synonyms of the word doom.
