In case some people read the older posts about this spell not being mana efficient and not worth getting, dont listen to them.
Necro and Shaman curse lines are great for DPS and were not designed for DPM, if for example you have a healing mob your barely able to take, this is a perfect use for this spell, just pile it on with your other dots, then blast away- you may just be able to out damage its self healing. the healing type stormriders in bot are a perfect example of this type of mob.

Also, i would just like to add that with the new combat cooldown system, the old models of mana efficiency are somewhat redundant and in a lot of cases it is now more efficient for kills per hour to blast till OOM then med to full, which is very different to the old style of, drop your best DPM DoTs and med thru the fight to perma chain mobs. thus making these curse spells far more usefull for standard kills.

The Max Theoretical unadjusted DPS for this spell is 23dmg at level 49, not 13.

Don't forget, most mobs DO NOT have much resistance to curse, so odds are it WILL land.

So you tell me what is more efficiant: 2 casts which might get one or both resisted or one cast that does not?

One person mentioned that it's only like 380 damage.
I wonder if it is affected by burning affliction?? If it is, 20 percent of 76 is 15.2, round that to 15 and that is upto 91 damage for 5 ticks, comes out to be 455 damage max. This is not includeing any inital damage it may or may not hit for.
Venom of the Snake does 413 damage over 7 ticks + 40 damage on cast for 453 damage for 10 points less mana.
With burning affliction I have been getitng a max of 71 per tick on venom, that would be 497 over 7 ticks + 48 damage on cast totaling 545.

It may not be that efficent, but it isn't bad it seems....

Just thinking out loud is all

5 ticks x 76 dmg is only 380 pts for 170 mana. Not very mana efficient particularly for a DOT. I don't think its worth casting myself and regret getting it.

You can only purchase items from each camp with points from that camp

Thats not quite right. If you have EVER earned enough points in that camp, even if you spent them, THEN you can spend points earned in ANY camp to buy the item. So say, at one point in the past, you came to Nro and earned 100 points, and spent them all. THEN you went to BBM and fought in mistmoore catacombs, earning several hundred points. You could buy items in Nro with ALL those points but only individual items valued up to the 100 points you earned in that camp.

The points that you earn in each camp determines the MAX you can spend in that camp from the overall points you earn from all camps..

Just trying to simplify :)
