Rune Protects BOTH
# Aug 19 2004 at 5:48 PM Rating: Decent
I just want to say that rune protects against BOTH. This is how, on my enchanter, I was able to figure out exactly how much HP Rune 3 was absorbing (cast Rune 3 on self, hit self with nuke, compare damage). I have yet to purchase this spell so I'm unsure which will absorb first if you have both on you.
Yes it stacks

It stacks with rune. Rune and Alendar are two completely different spells. Rune protects against melee damage, Alendar protects against spell damgage.
stack with rune ??

This spell absorbs 20% of damage for spells *only* until the spell wears off or 1200 damage has been absorbed.

Spell is definately from the LDON expansion...

Part of a new "Alendar" Line of spells starting with Ward of Alendar, which uses a Bloodstone, up to this one

Cost 410 adventure points strictly from the Deepest Guk Theme

Kinda nice too... 1200hp damge absorb (up to 20%) which means it does 1200hp damage shield unless your target has over 6000hp... which i've seen on tanks but I only use Rune on my casters.. Still costs a peridot but thats a LOT of Damage... I use Rune a LOT especially in my LDON groups so for me this spell is next on my list of LDON items to get

Anyone have a clue what this spell does, and where it is found?

Not sure exactly, but I think it's a rune or possibly some time of damage shield spell. It is part of the upcoming new spells in LDON

New spell line seems?

Seems enchanters might be getting an entire new spell line (about time they nerf our asses every chance they get)

I guess chanters are getting a spell line similar to wizards or something(spell sheild). Rune, cept for spell damage...

Per LUCY: Places the Protection of Alendar on your target, absorbing a portion of incoming spell damage. This spell absorbs a set amount of damage before dissipating.

58 Wiz spell: spellsheild
Per LUCY: Covers your target's skin in a shimmering shield of mana that absorbs some spell damage. This spell consumes a peridot when cast.

/shrug seems about right i guess. both use peridot as regent.
