Please take the time to read the entire Spell DATA

Jonyback - and others . . .

When looking up spell information - please take the time to read all the spell data. YES it is a group spellYES it is a group spell (version 1) {not sure what that means - supposedly there will be another later?}.

I know - and can sympathize with the way the data is written - its kinda a pain to track it - the tabulation is hard to follow - but its all there.

Have a good time. Thank Brell they let you med before entering a LDoN adventure after casting this one!!!

I THINK group v1 means only in your grp and Group v2 means it can be cast on the group that your target is a part of. Just to get that info out there.

I would like to clarify this a bit further: I'm not sure that's what GroupV1 means. My 51 Paladin has Brell's Steadfast Aegis, and I've been able to use that to cast it on my target's whole group(except their pets, of course). I think you can do that with any type of group spell like that through the /tgb command. That's how I was able to cast Brell's on targets outside of my group, so maybe it connects to that as well.

G1 and G2 both work for TGB (target group buff).

Only G2 works for MGB (mass group buff)
Thus, pallies cannot AE heal like clerics do with Celestrial healing

target group buff (tgb's) work with Group1 and group2 buffs... MGB (mass group buff) only works with Group2
Cheese with that whine?

I've read a lot of posts regarding the duration of this spell. Mostly of the thread that it should be longer lasting at the expense of more mana to be in tune with the 90 minute design of dungeons. I think the 60 minutes of this spell in this theme begs us Paladin to get extended duration (shawl+aa = 90 minutes for this spell). Anyone else see that correlation, or am I just being to optimistic about SoE's intentions with this duration. Yeah I suppose the intention was simply to make it somehow nerfed compared to cleric temp, but I'd love to think they had the forethought to give us a useful reason for extends.

You can get 50% extended duration with JUST AAs. In fact shawl is the only item that stacks with the last AA enhancement, allowing a 70% extended buff.

70% extended, this would be a 102 minute buff.

Honestly, I think the other reason is partially true as well. If you had a pally with this spell, and a %CH druid or Shaman, you could get by without a cleric, so limiting the duration of this spell, along with the % limitation of the druid/shammy CH, still makes a cleric desirable.

Isn't 50% the max extend posible for a paly? Then again I'm 59 and havent' spent to much time looking at the class AA's 61+.

Anyway I was looking at this from my perspective at this season, at 61 it looks like our previously existing spells beat up on this one (if you can afford the buff slots and don't have a group to take care of obvioulsy).

In any case I have been doing a lot of clericing in the dungeons, usually with a shamy backing me up, but at least a couple times just me and a ranja or nother paly, then once just me (rest of the party bandaging hehe). What I can say from those test runs is YES bring a true cleric and life is a lot easier, the all offense thing is a great bit of fun occasionally but if it gets a bit hairy even once you are stuck with quite a bit of downtime to recover (HWoP=manaburn). (oh btw don't try and be the main healer unless the group average level is nice and low so you can keep up with the easy mobs damage output)

Just read one of the developer chats about LDoN (instead of hitting enter over and over on the congestion of the login servers... LOVE EXPANSION DAY).

Anyway I got one important bit out of that log that I had not heard before.

Casters will get 8 new spells each, Hybrids 5.
All new spells will be ADVENTURE POINTS PURCHASED.

Hope this helps.
I'll buff to conserve cleric mana

Well I have to say as a Pally I am Glad to have this spell, agree with the level problem. Clerics do not get an improvement to Temperance till level 60. So now I can self buff as good as a 59 cleric unless I want individual buffs (i.e. Symbol of Marzin etc). Well it seems SOE is making Battle clerics with their summoned hammers and Pally priests to do the buffing and healing.
** Note to SOE ** Can I get CH also please?

LDoN spell
# Aug 12 2003 at 7:33 PM Rating: Default
I assume this is a LDoN spell, somewhat like Temperence (lesser form of aegolism) except for paladins. /shrug Just taking a wild stab though. Also, it may or may not be a group spell, /shrug at the time of this post it's marked single target but it may be group and I think it will be.
