I had an issue like was described. I couldn't seem to hit grieg and he just kept chaining this spell. An odd occurance. Finally I decided to clear all the trash in the room and lo and behold, he became targettable. This spell seems to be the only one he will cast while his room is filled with trash.

i just walked in there w/ invis on, bored and of course he could see me, but w/ exodus up i wasn't too scared, so i ran up to get a better look. first thing he did when i was in range was cast this on me, it wore off and nothing attacked, so i didn't leave yet, still walked back up to him and he cast it again, after that one i left. /shrug

i've killed grieg many times and have never seen this effect used.
