A friend commented that he bought the 10% spell and the 50% spell and nothing in between. Low level rez spells are mostly there to get someone back to their bodies - to save them the run and the issue of finding the people who are fighting, if they are fighting in some non-descript area that is hard to find.

I have yet to have a death in any group I have been in since I got my first rez spell. This is at least partially because I have always had someone who is a twink tanking, an partially because I've been lucky as heck. But when you are fighting in Paludal Caverns and your tank can pull a building and not need a heal until after the fight, I'd call him a twink. We was L25. I did have to heal him when he pulled 2-3 buildings, so he was not that much of a twink.

I don't think that there are many new people starting to play everquest. Most of those are being led through the game by close friends. People who are playing are old players, and low level characters are all being started by older players who have stuff to hand them. Plat, items. It is not unusual to see someone with a complete set of focus 1 items on a brand new character.
