Memming Feign Death & Comatose at the same time can come in handy when you are being owned by casters (or if you feel your going to be in the near future Smiley: smile).

Question
# Dec 22 2004 at 3:00 AM Rating: Decent
Does this spell and comatose work while on drog/horse?

Thanks in advance

RE: Question
# Jun 27 2006 at 4:03 PM Rating: Decent
yes it does... if u cast FD on a mount or anything.. it will make the mount disapear but then make u FD.. if u have DMF on or something.. it u will look funny but don't stand up if it doesn't fail.. you'll still be FD =)

To all young SKs- to raise your Abjuration easily and painlessly, you can chain cast Resist Cold on yourself or any random target. Relatively cheap and quick cast, and you can even drop it in a spell slot during fights if you aren't the main puller and cast between pulls.

Turn Attack Off....
# Oct 21 2003 at 11:28 PM Rating: Decent
When you cast this spell or when you use FD as a monk attack must be off before this will work.....

I can't speak for Necro or SK FD, but I know for a fact attack does not have to be turned off in order for FD to work for, at the very least, monks. As a matter of fact, I've actualy FD'd, accidently swung at a mob right after from lag, and still had agro cleared. I was no longer laying on the ground, but agro was still gone.

Create the following hotkey for FD:

/attack off
/pause 2 (i use 4)
/doability # (whatever FD is set to)

works almost every time to stop attacking long enough to keep FD from failing as much. sure you can FD while attacking but i've always heard that increases the failure percentage and that you should stop attacking first and then execute the FD.

Not sure why you would post a monk hotkey button under an SK spell.. An sk would want to use:
/attack off
/cast <slot#>
I'm not sure if you need the pause command. If so, go ahead and add it in.

I realize that this post is two years late, but..

that isnt really a monk hotkey that he made since monks dont need to stop attacking before they FD.

I've noticed that while in groups feigning death kills agro instantly on spells that generate immediately. This includes nukes, mez, slow, resist debuff, group taps ETC. This does not include any Damage over time spells. If you feign successfully and have so many dot spells on a mob that when you stand up and the next tick goes off it attacks you. You are WAY over dotting and it will continue to agro you until the other party members can taunt it off you.

For instance I was the parties ghetto mezzer and ghetto slower in a MMC group, I would get agro like nuts from both slowing and mezzing, after they had killed a mob and was about to move to the next I would feign death and as soon as they started fighting I would stand back up and almost completely agroless even though I had mezzed the mob maybe 3 times and slowed it's attacks. Feigning is a great way to charm kite correctly as well.

If your around level 52 waste the time to get your LoY feign, it barely ever fails and will get your abjuration maxed for death peace. Using hte level 16 feign and the 52 feign is a world of difference as far as fail rate goes.
really good for necros

Sometimes even a monks feign death takes a few precious seconds to convince the mob of your demise, so casting this with only a sliver of health left will probably not save your life as the mob will continue to pummel you for a bit before it becomes tired of beating a dead horse, so to speak, and sets off in search of more lively prey.

I happen to have a monk and yes it will take some time to let em know your dead, its funny the way that works, heh =P
#REDACTED, Posted: Mar 10 2003 at 12:11 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) This spell gives you a change to make an agressive enemy think you are dead and leave you alone.
Does this spell work??
# Feb 02 2003 at 5:59 PM Rating: Good
I've cast it several times, and it's done no good at all. My body falls to the ground, but I obviously don't look dead because those pitiful creatures of Norrath continue to pummel me until I really am dead.

BUT Feign Death always has a chance to fail, whether we're talking about this spell or the Monk skill.

Some very good information about Feign Death is found at this link: Casters Realm -- Feign Death Explained.

I hope that helps you. Best of luck.

It is true that all FD has a chance to fail, but this spell has a greater chance than death peace - the level 60 one). Death Peace is also much faster casting and shorter reuse timer. All in all this spell will save your butt about 70% of the time and the other 30% you are going down. lol!

Thank you! That site was very helpful, and now I know why it wasn't working.

For those of you who still don't know, I'm guessing Aasldiven had Auto-Attack on when he cast the spell (Auto-fail). Took me a while to figure that out with my SK.
