Purchasable in PoK on Pathfinder Arelat for 6pp.
Works awsome on Needlites in Echo Cavern. 25-30% a shoot. By the time the spell refreshes you have a dead needlite.

I am getting sick of seeing a$$hole jerks like you, run other people down for asking a question. I know that maybe you were born a know it all but most people have to ask questions in order to learn more. People like you who are about 12 years old and think that being a smart a$$ makes you look cool is what discourages people from playing the game, so before making another remark like that please use what little brains you have!

I understand the Ranger is not a true spell caster, but come on. What is with the stupid spells? A Ranger’s greatest asset is his bow. SO do they come up with a "flaming arrow" spell that works in conjunction with his bow?!? No. It's just another stupid spell that causes damage. Wow! Color me impressed….err unimpressed that is. Serious lack of creativity on their part. <slap forehead> How about a spell where the Ranger sets his ACTUAL arrow(s) ablaze that adds 80 damage per shot, or 60 or 20 or whatever. Wow, the best EQ can come up with is Hawk, Flacon and Eagle Eye. Good Job EQ….not. Rangers can cast Fire, Lightning, and Thorn shields, at least they could do is work it into their bow/arrow.

I find that being able to cast a DD in between arrows very useful. It adds majorly to my dps, and THIS spell does even more (and its upgrades). Arrow, spell, arrow, spell. At this level, untwinked, I'd probably not have a real good bow, and I'd, of course, use Class 1 Wood Point Arrows, as any others would be far too expensive. So I'm thinking about 40 or 50 damage max, but when you add this spell in, it's 120 to 130 dmg per firing recycle time. That's about as much as a pally of the same level does majorly twinked with only his 2hander. I've grouped with them, trust me.

This is a decent nuke spell for a level 29 ranger to have in comparison to the other weak spells we get at that level;. This spell came out when i was 40 so i would use this, burning arrow(level 39 upgrade)(120ptdmg), and careless lightning(99ptdmg) when i would solo thats 299 points of damage done before the mob can hit you if you are snare kiting so if you want arrows that do fire damage work on your fletching and make acrylia flame tipped arrown and quit knocking a decent spell.

Yes indeed, compared to spells that some of the other classes got with PoP, this ranger line seems fairly lame. I like your idea for the spells to modify archery damage instead - even if it was just by a teeny bit.. or what do you think of this idea - instead of a DD.. this line of spells actually Summoned some flaming arrows for when you ran out of ammo! now I bet even if those were weak arrows, the spell would have been far more popular than it currently is.

that would be cool if rangers could summon arrows, but SOE would rather force us players to communicate with one another, so they say "summoned arrows? FIND A MAGE"

Now I have to buy PoP to complete my spell library. Is it easy to get to the vendor that sells this, or do you have to fight your way through a super uber zone to get to him?

As of a recent patch (April 28, 2004) SOE finally opened up PoK and all its benefits to all players, regardless of whether or not they bought the PoP expansion. About time! Come join us in one of the single most significant zones in the game.
There is nothing on the Plane of Knowledge to fight. You can't even fight there if you wanted to.
