What's -10 on resist?
# Nov 19 2003 at 2:55 PM Rating: Decent
OK what's the -10 on the resist...good or bad?
Does that make it more likely, or less likely, to land?
#REDACTED, Posted: May 06 2004 at 5:51 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Bet you if I had 1500 MR it wouldn't land.. not that I do.. but.. lets pretend.. *smirk* Not unresistable, just really freaking hard to resist...

The -10 on the resist means the mobs effectively loses 10 more MR against this particular spell, thereby landing more often. If you check the unresistable spells (ie. Dictate, lvl 60 Enc), they are -1000 to MR, meaning it will always land.

From my understanding, the 2/68 next to the Mesmerize means it can mezz mobs from level 2 to level 68.

Actually, that means that this is Mesmerize: Type 2 / Level 68.

The max level is 68.
Type 2 means that it's single target.
(Type 1 is Point Blank Area Effect)

That is the way I understand it... this same standard does not apply to all spells though...

For instance
Haste type 1 (v1) is spell haste
Haste type 2 (v2) is stackable spell haste (some Bard songs)
Haste type 3 (v3) is stackable spell haste that can put you above the haste cap (some Bard songs)
