Does anyone have the regular, non-bs, dmg per hit on this pet? My necros lvl 61 pet is doing 87 w/ focus... My main consideration here is I don't always kite as I box a mage of the same lvl, both 62 atm, and my mages 61 air pet can tank most places I fight. Also, a comparison of their hp's would be nice for those times when I get 3+ mobs and I want my necros pet to off tank.

I know this pet is generally for kiting or those times when it would have open shots at a mobs back, but there's always those "oh ****" moments and I am trying to figure out if this pet can hold his own in that situation. Thanks

I think i love this pet... Don't know how often it occurs for u guys, but i get about 4 assasinates per night... they are for about 32000hp dmg... it varies tho. now you know :)

Agro Kiting

I am a little confused on why everyone complains about this and almost all of our 60+ pets. I have tried to agro kite mobs in PoV without a pet and it takes forever compared to with. If you think our pets suck that bad try it and you will see. I can agro kite lvl 60+ mobs in PoV without any problem whatsoever and they die normally within 2-3 minutes. Nice xp and fast. Sure I have seen bards running around with 6 or 7 mobs in tow (cant say I ever saw one with more than that tho) and yes it takes awhile for them to kill and they get the kill for all those mobs, however, it can take them a very long time to do so whereas with me being able to agro kite and chain pull I get almost the same amount of kills in the same amount of time.

i dont see why ppl want bards and etc to get nerfed. if you have a prob with bards kiting 20+ mobs at one time dont hate them. hate yourself for not playing one.

Bards can no longer kite an unlimited number of targets at once for xp. The unlimited target aoe's have been changed so that the damage component is removed when the target is trying to move.
I think the main reason this tactic annoyed people is, zone disruption... I could really have cared less about bards getting awesome xp, but when half the zone or more (of certian zones) could be taken by them... and then having to wait 10 mins sometimes for anything to repop, and sometimes getting killed just trying to walk through the zone from an errant bard pull... that is why people were annoyed. See Dulak, Gunthak when they were hotspots.

Can somebody please post some statistics on this pet? I got that he's a rogue and BS's up to 270. Any info on HPs, tanking ability, AC, procs, etc?

I am only a 34 necromancer atm, but my brother is a pretty well equiped 65 necro on Antonius Bayle server, i have seen him use this pet and it cains, just get on opposite side of room from tank, send pet in and mob gets shredded!!!

this spell is useful when positioned correctly in xp groups - does mad damage, seen it baackstab for 270s before - but is also very useful in aggrokiting.. where you make the mob mad at you to the point where a pet with its taunt off beating on the enemy as it runs after you gets no aggro, and the enemy stays targetted on chasing you. this pet would be hard to handle, but with the right amount of practice would make a good solo tool for any patient necro.

i am however hoping Veran.. err SOE will raise the fear cap over 55. quite frankly, if i can kill a red to me mob and have almost the same amount of mana at the end as i did when i started, then these mobs damn sure better be afraid of me =)

Kiting is so widespread, I would be shocked if they ever attempted to nerf it. Despite that its such a lame and dishonourable strategy, nearly all the 50+ players do kitings to level.

If they were going to nerf kiting, they should start with the bards :)

SOE invented kiting in God and OOW by making mobs hit for 500+.

Yep, I have seen a bard with 20+ mobs in tow. he was running around with some ae and twisting Celos with it. He never took a hit that I could see and eventually (albeit slowly), the mobs would die. He would get adds all the time, but he didnt care.. all he had to do was stay out of melee range while slowly aeing all his mobs to death. Necros really should be the last to get kite nerfed imo because 1) we dont AE kite massive numbers of mobs, 2) we dont even quad kite but solo kite only, 3) they already nerfed the fear kiting aspect of it so we are left with agro kiting mobs above 55 anyhow.. and since most mobs over 55 in the old world summon... we are very limited in kiting after we reach a certain level.

Ssshh, kep it down, if SoE ever finds out you did that we will get waked with the nerf stick again. SoE likes the nerf bat way to much.
