Why do someone wanna have this spell?
At lvl 58 we get Kragg's mending who can heal for 1950hps...

I know his info was outdated but I am going to reply as if it was post healing boost.
This spell has function for many reasons.
A) Quick casting (same pre boost)
B) Can be affected by focus effects potentially making it a better ratio than mending of kragg.
C) Also mending of kragg is a % heal so no matter what it wont heal more than 75% and caps at 1950 hp heal. So even if ur missing 1950 hp it might not heal for that much.
D) goes along with A but its what people ALWAYS overlook. Oppertunity cost. like epic is a 9 sec clicky ... its not free damage ... because it costs 9 secs of time you could be doing something else. Like the mana gained from casting canibalize spells.
As a shaman ive found i NEVER struggle for mana so much now that I never bother getting kei anymore.
The asset I struggle the most with is time. I find I am always doing something ... no matter how I am exping there is NEVER a time im not casting something. I used to wonder why shamans cast nukes ... i would always think they were retarded because it was a bad ratio of mana to damage. But turns out I can usually put all my dots on a mob and nuke too or if the mob dies too fast I can spam nukes on it with Bane of Nife.
in conclusion I see it quite the reverse that there is no point in getting mending of kragg as the efficiency value is lost with the long casting time (that cant be changed with focus effects)

/agree! with canibalise/hot combo you have infinite hp/mana given enough time
I've decided on my shaman to pretty much ignore all other upgrades for now, besides getting spell/affliction hastes, and similar focus effects. seeing as I don't use many short cast times, and generally have to tnarg's instead of Kragg's it stands to reason that 15% spell haste would make my character 15% more effective.

Why have this spell? It's very simple.
Kragg's Mending 1950 hp/ 400m / 10 sec cast time.
Tnarg's Mending 1300 hp/ 450m / 3.75 sec cast time.
sure, it doesn't do as much healing and costs more mana, but you can get it off in 1/3rd (approx) the time.

and its not a % heal so will be affected by spell focus effects :)

lvl to obtain meaning 55 to enter into pos/pov for drops on EP (ethereal parchments) for spells. Lvl 62 to scribe/use
