Possible to crit and/or improved healing proc?
# Jul 06 2005 at 12:26 AM Rating: Decent
Is it possible to crit on this or have either aa or item effect of improved healing on it? I saw a druid heal for a little over 5k hp. Now this could've been just a crit from a different heal but I didn't get any crit message. Just wondering if druids can ever do more on this heal.

critical heals (healing gift AA) don't work for %heals and CHs but healing adept AA do.

Just wanted to clarify that there is a difference with crit heals between druids and clerics.
This is how it currently works at the time of this post, June 25, 2007.

Druid %heals (for example Karana's Renewal) are NOT affected by crit heals.

Cleric Complete Heal IS affected by crit heals.

I have played both a high level druid and cleric for several years and that's how it has worked for me.

I have never personally had this healing spell crit and I am lvl 68 and use this heal frequently. The 5k+ one you have seen is a heal that heals for 2500+hp normally.

Because it IS a heal..not a HP buff. This heals a target the said amount OR up to 75% of their current max total hp, wichever is less.
HUH?

All this back and forth is good, well, not totally good, but my question is what is it doing in a heal spell area, I would think that it should be under a buff area
FYI...

You add Symbol of Kazaad and PoT9 and you get more HP than Virtue and you get mana regen...all hybrids love that combo.

...unless you are a 64/65 Paladin with Aura of the Crusader. Then you will get more from Virtue and AotC. Using this, you only get 3 mana per tick instead of 8, but as a paladin, this should be more than enough.

#REDACTED, Posted: May 02 2003 at 11:47 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Yeah, i would SO like a 618HP/32AC buff over those crappy 1405HP/72AC Buffs.
#REDACTED, Posted: Oct 30 2003 at 11:51 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Fool. Blessing/protection of the nine = 618 hp plus 32 ac and is STACKABLE with Symbol of Marzin, which is 910 hit points. That equals 1528 HP total, 32 ac. Unless your the main tank, the extra HP will definately compensate for the AC, so for virtually everybody except the MA and SA its a good idea to use this combo. 123 extra hit points over virtue PLUS the biggie, which is 8 stackable with every other mana regen buff mana per tick. I don't understand why so many people say, hmm, i could have 8 extra mana per tick, and more hit points, but i'm just too lazy to keep track of two instead of one buff...

Now now Treehugger dont go away feeling like you get the last word in here. Yes I will take your fancy Nine : 618 hp , 32 ac . Then I will add my Symbol of Kazad for 910 hp ( foolish druid Marzin only gives 700 and Marzin Mark gives 725 ).

But wait there is more from the mighty Cleric. I will give the Tanks and myself Ward of Gallantry adding another 54 A.C. (ok I never tried with 9 but my A.C. buffs use to stack with Cabbage and symbol and hopefully the upgrades will do so to help your / our arguement )

Recap: Po9 : 618 hp, 32AC, 8 sweet mana / tick
Symbol Kazad: 910hp
Ward of G : 54 AC

1528 HP , 86 AC , 8 sweet mana/tick

..... Then the Priests and Druids lived happily ever after...

The End :)

a lot of hybrids and pure-casters would prefer the druid's line of buffing (myself included) as it adds hp regen and kei-stackable mana regen.
Clerics

Funny thing, have been in many groups with clerics and without. Have been main healer in many groups on my 65 druid. But thing is a cleric will be ML and make of with all the vendor loots to so called cover the cost of dots. LOL dots 10pp each on the average group maybe 6-8 used, Vendor loots in mos places cleric make off with 300 - 1K. LOL let a druid try to make out like that. MMmm some one said aego is good stuff. Well let me hit ya with pot9 one time you may never want aego again. Yes I like a cleric in group too but lets cover the cost of dots and share all the loot amoung the members.

Granted the post was made two years ago. Clerics at 65/ Kazaad or Virtue level, dont need Pdots for their spells. So if a cleric is trying that in your group call them on it.
