Chanter haste
# Apr 20 2004 at 11:37 AM Rating: Decent
It does not stack with Speed of Vallon, Vallons quicking, Speed of Shissar, or the Augment line, it DOES stack with Wonderes Rapitidy and the Quickness line.

True for both Vallon spells. Wrong for Speed of Shissar. Its the dex stacking that is a problem, and chanter epic effect doesn't add dex.

I use speed of the shissar and yaulp 6 all the time, as I noted in my last post.

I would suspect, for the same reason, that augment would stack as well, but have not tested it.
some clarifications

The only thing that this doesn't stack with, is some spells that adds +ATK, so sorry to disappoint all the folks that thought the reason for not stacking is because of the +DEX

how do I know? this doesn't stack with Vallon, but also doesn't stack with things like spiritual vigor/strength of tunare, which are hp/atk buffs and don't carry +DEX

Basically, All GOOD Clerics should use this spell and start meleeing for a change. I know I will when I get it.

If you sit, then this spell will fade, so remain standing and fight. <grins>

does yulp and zelot stack so you have 20 per tick with both?
question
# Feb 18 2004 at 8:38 PM Rating: Decent
Question whats the mana regn sitting Vs standing?
I know sittin better but if this kicks over ur sitting mana regen for 10 mana ill use it and stand
RE: question
# May 01 2004 at 9:53 AM Rating: Decent
At level 65, you have an innate regeneration of 1 per tick standing, 20 per tick sitting - meditate adds 19 while sitting or on a horse.

Of note, though, to the clerics who like to melee... as soon as you turn auto-attack on while on a horse, you lose your meditate bonus. In other words, your horse is worthless if you have auto-attack on. That's like clicking off C5 and taking off an FT1 item just so you can add a little dps... your call of course, but something to keep in mind.

That assumes a cleric would be stupid enough to melee from horseback.

Dispell the horse, Yaulp, and melee, and you only lose a NET of 7 mana regen.

Stupid enough? It's the same as standing is what he's saying. Atleast on a horse you start the meditation bonus as soon as the mob dies, and if you can remember to turn /attack off before casting, you get it then too.

Yes, but if you dispell the horse, and then yaulp, you'll get more mana during the fight, then afterward, just hit the horse hotkey and you're back on your mount. best of both worlds. Plus trying to hit a mob from horseback will typically result in a much higher rate of lost hits due to positioning, especially if you have a paladin tank, chain stunning.

You see, since you cannot yaulp on the horse, you get ONLY your standing regen, of 1 per tic, meleeing on the horse. That is, as the original poster points out, a loss of 19 per tic, for the not so massive cleric DPS. Dispell the horse, yaulp, and net loss of mana is SEVEN per tic, rather than 19.

So yes, a cleric meleeing from horseback, is a stupid thing to do.

One more thing to keep in mind about the Yaulp when meleeing as well: It adds +75 to your Dex. If you are using a summoned hammer with Hand of the Gods as a Proc (and a +25 or higher Dex as well and bonuses on the procs) the amount of dps a cleric can add into a fight can sometimes be surprising!

My 63 level hammer frequently procs three and four times in a row for over 100 hp damage average each, and about 1.5 seconds between each hit. Basically, the summoned hammer hits a little faster, and a little harder than a Copper Hammer of Striking, and it's free to boot.

And I get the advantage of not being on horseback when I find I need to change what I'm doing in a hurry too.

Depends on the haste. It will stack with pure haste, but not with the stat haste. When our chanter hastes the group, I click it off, and have her cast her clicky epic haste on my, since that stacks.

This spell does NOT stack with ALL chanter hastes. I play a 65 chanter, I know. it stacks with all PURE HASTE spells, but not our best hastes, which add stats ( dex for instance) which is what causes it not to stack. many ppl get confused due to its short duration and when cast after battle, yaulp has faded and haste sticks till the cleric casts it again.

This does not stop you from doing anything at all, and it stacks with Mark of the Predator, and all chanter haste.

What he means is, if you sit down, the spell fades. And you CANNOT cast it from horseback.
