dire charmed pets may only be level 46, but quad for 149/hit. well worth the aa spent if you are soloing, out dmgs any pet till the 75+ range, but dont think you would be using this at 75 unless you are farming in nadox/veksar.
also dont use this aa around healer mercs, they will strip the charm buffs off any mobs you have charmed.

9 AAs spent only to find out why I couldn't charm anything... Only good to charm mobs level 46 and below. Well what stinking good is that at level 59? Talk about a major waste of AAs. Would NOT recommend this AA for anyone.
Same here... thought it charmed up to lvl 55... what a waste, should have looked it up before dumping 9 AA's into it... my lvl 65 pet is stronger than any lvl 46 mob

I know this post was 10+ years ago but one good use for this AA is during the Enchanter 1.0. You can dire charm Pendle Dashinger and he will absolutely destroy the Tangrin in Field of Bone!
in case anyone is wondering or confused. the 0 mana lvl 1 spells, are not lvl 1 spells. these are AAs(Alternate Advancement) listed. This one is Dire Charm, lvl59aa, on third tab on nec AA window.

Stupid question time. I guess i just don't understand why the spell is listed as lvl 1 when you need AA points to get it. Don't you have to be at least lvl 51 to start getting AA points?
Is this the Necromancers Undead only Dire Charm AA ability?
