Unfortunatly, it doenst seem to work on merc weapons. Used it when fighting wisps in Qey Hills with 9th bard. The merc was finally able to get agro from me (so the song at least got the merc noticed by the wisps), but I was the only one hitting.

I just wanted to say that these boards are not here to be picking on people,(or how they type), but to help others find items that they are needing. Not only am I ashamed to see the rudeness that people have for others but I am ashamed to allow my children to read these. How sad. For those people whom need help, there are a few good comments here to help you . Forget the others. Have fun playing because after all it is only a game.

Ever since the newest expansion was released, I have yet to see anybody selling these Leatherfoot Haversacks in the bazaar. Does anybody know if they've altered the recipe or deleted the possibility of creating these bags?

I just ran this on my lvl 24 bard. Here is how i went and who i bought it from.
Starting in pok:
Shadereaver (Shar Val stone)
Shar Val
Hollowshade Moor
Grimling Forest
Tenebrous Mountains
Katta Castellum
Vendors name id Sellar Mulletune
P.S. You could have a druid port you to T.M.
this way its only 1 zone to run through.
The vendor sells 5 bard songs total
for a total of 50pp.

this song is completly worthless, 
like for example you need a magical weapon to hit a ghoul in oasis of Marr k this song just makes your weapon able to hit a creature that can only get hit bye a magical weapon so to make a long story short .
this just makes your weapons magical so you can hit stuff like the stupid ghouls in oasis if they aren't magical= if your weapons aren't magic, you can't hit worth crap

GET A GRIP! for those who hunt the willowisps this spell will be very handy. these type of mobs are immune to normal melee attack.
Just because you have such a narrow focus on how to use the song does not mean that this spell wont be useful to someone else.

Even considering that non-twinked players starting on new servers usually cannot get magical weapons until at least the high-teens, this song seems to have very little use. The difficulty in obtaining this song is harder than simply getting a magical weapon yourself. For example, I was able to get a decent magical weapon from my Bard guildmaster in Freeport by doing a relatively simple quest at level 10.
i prefer to twink a toon. but amen for those who are not twinked. but for those who dont have a magical wep, do yourself a favor and please get one. a proc is a must have.

when the song came out, magical weapons were not as easily gotten as they are now. The first time I made a bard, I didnt get a magical weapon until the 20s. By then wisps, ghouls, and other things were out of my grasp. This song is a bit out dated (wouldnt a nice proc be great instead) but it had its time.

ok so the spell is in katta castelm or however you spell it, well how the heck is a lvl 9 char of any class let alone a bard supposed to get to this city?? luclin is a tuff place to travel through, I'm 26, and most of the zones you have to cross over to get to this city have stuff that cons red to me, at least on norath you can get around the tuff zones somehow, on luclin your stuck tring to get past lvl 50 mobs, and the lvl 50 mobs on luclin are nasty. if anyone know a good way to get to this city if you could let me know thanks

pretty easy to get there if you a find a dru Just have him gate you to TS then get lev and invis ( elementals don't aggro on ya if ya leave thm alone though) then run across the water to KC talk him into goin with ya and he can gate ya out ...prolly will take ten minutes
Well, at level 9 you have selos, so you should be able to run through HSM to GF... GF is tough but doable.
Now you get to TM. TM is a very tough zone to get through at that level, but with selo's, a store-bought drum and a map you should be fine. You're indiff to a lot of the locals in TM, so you just have to avoid the sonic wolves and the bats. Vamps alomst always stick to their forts (there are 1 or 2 wanderers sometimes, but again, just avoid them.
If you get agro, don't fear trianing the KK zone, since it's not a newbie zone. Just /ooc that you're training it, and maybe a kind bard or cleric who is camping the drops for the shield in the corner will vape your train for you ;-)

Um... no it's not. It makes weapons like rusty swords and stuff be able to hit magical mobs.

yeah I think that the problem is that some times people with no particular reason to use a computer other than to play everquest fail to realize that there is a key on their keyboard that is called 'backspace' that allows one to erase mistakes and correct them but then they also forget that sentences in the English language have structure and functional parts so that they make sense but ***** that lets play everquest and never learn grammar or use periods or commas and use stoopid acronyms for everything ROFLMAO!!!!! and use homonyms in place of correct words like some people are to stupid two play EQ or even words that aren't even homonyms like I thought Luclin was stoopid than I went their with my frends there all in a guilt with each other but than this weurd cat told me to dual him or he wood tell on me too a dunjun master four being meen to his pet...

His/her entire post is meant to deride the idiocy of people who can't/don't bother checking their posts for spelling and/or grammatical errors; who fail to use the English language and instead think that emotes and acronyms are sufficient to convey meaning; who are unable to understand the difference between similar sounding words; who are too lazy to use punctuation

Please, do not mistake my mentioning only one particular error, as only spoting one. Capitalize "Yeah", comma after, remove "that".

My point is people are people. Each with verious levels of education. Deride not those who wish to communicate. Perhaps you are able to get your point across in a Lambragini, while others plod along in a Yugo but they do communicate.

For those trying to find this and the other SoL songs. You must go to the city of Katta Castellum, there is a bard guild in there also and that is where these songs are sold

this song turns your weapons in to magic item. it helps with magical creatures like willowhips.

no the glow will not help you see at night, i mean what sword would do that, duh! get a torch if you are not elvish or dont have any idea where u are in the dark, night in kithikor foest when you think you are safe.............
