As of 7/11/2015 the spell does give extra health regen.
I was on my level 12 Halfling Druid on Lockjaw server and was getting 3hp a tick without the spell. While in tree form, I was getting 7hp a tick. This was in resting mode.

This is the only chanter usable item with this effect in the game. Sure, there's the tree illusion, but it doesn't give any extra regen.
Got it to work in CR... got some weird in the air camera angle though.

has anyone gotten to work in the thicket? i tried and got the you cannot change here message. Was wondering if it was a bug or if you just can't use it there since i did get it to work in GFay.
Just as an addendum to these messages, if it was fixed after the /bug report, it was fixed. I purchased this spell last night and used it multiple times in Greater Faydark. Made myself into a very large tree ad hit points returned rather quickly.

Does this spell still work? My druid tried this in the Karanas on many occasions without results. Is it still a valid spell?
This spell, and my enchanter's minor illusion, and illusion tree all yeild the same result now:
'You cannot change appearance here' message, icon appears in effects window and character gets rooted but its appearance remains the same (with some associated spell casting graphics lights display). I sent /bug report.
