Uh...does it protect (ward) pets (summoned)?
Does it hurt (decrease hitpoints) of a target?

Why would you want to decrease the hitpoints of your summoned pet?

This spell is intended for use against summoned mobs, such as shadowed men, elementals and NPC pets. The advantage of using this one over a "normal" DD spell is that it is less resisted, and more mana-efficient.
