Mesmerization

I saw on Bjorn Star just now that Affliction Haste/Efficiency works on Mezzes too. Anyone have any info on if this is right or not? I may just have to borrow someone's item and try to mez myself and see if I get the 'sparkling' message or whatever. It would be very cool if it did, since Spell Haste III items are in my 'retarded' category on the effects and level to attain the item. I assumed that getting an item with a Focus Effect III (Max lvl 60) would be fairly easily attainable at lvl 44-50 or so, considering that at those levels the spells you get are the first ones unaffected by the old level II effects.

I think it is completely idiotic that you have to be around lvl 60 to get an effect that ENDS at that level, so you can only get the effect further than that level only IF you don't get an upgraded spell. *sigh*
asystole and stacking

I use this Ring on my Necro. This effect does not "STACK" with any other mana preservation. Which ever will save you the most mana on the spell will kick in. Affliction efficiency is much better on Dots. (Damanage over time).

The answer is actually yes and no. The effect does work with asystole, but when casting asystole, the affliction efficiency item would take precedence over the mana preservation item. Mana preservation would only work with asystole if the wearer has no affliction efficiency items.
Also works on....

As of a day or two after the focus effects were added to items, Affliction Efficiency no longer works on spells without dot effects (Sorry Rangers >_<, but yay for SKs). The spell must reduce HP over time in order to get any benefit from this effect.

More in depth info listed under the Gem Encrusted Ring posts.
Since changed

This has apparently changed again. I'm not sure when, but I get gear shining/sparkling, whatever, on spells that meet all criteria except HP mod. Eg, snare, and fear both get extra duration from Exended Affliction, and cast faster from Affliction Haste. I'm not sure when exactly it changed, but a few days back I happened to notice that my gear was shining on these spells.
