Extended range and bardsong

In case you're wondering, no, focus effects like extended range do not impact bard songs. Flowing Thought however, if considered a focus effect, does impact bard mana, it's the only thing outside of MC AAs.

Good to have?

Yes without a doubt! I found I can cast on mobs and be well out of their range thus keeping me much safer. I can also cast buffs without standing right next to target. This is an awesome effect to have for PLing your 'kids' too! It allows you to pull mobs from further out saving you time and allowing your alt a chance to target and attack before the mob ever gets within strike range.

Oh! btw when you dont need it anymore.... your alt might be able to use it so hang on to it.
Bard songs

This extended range gives you an awesome advantange over mobs.
Question on range

Does this mean I can root a caster from extended range and be out of the NPC caster's range? Obvious advantage if this would work. I have seen things with Grim Manacasters that makes me think this might be working.

In answer, yes you can and yes it is a rather large advantage,...

It's also damn useful for casting heals/buffs of low range from outside the agro range of certain mobs...
