Will this item decrease the casting time of 'clicky' effects on items (like cobalt gauntlets)?

Spell limit

Why does Spell Haste II have a 2.0 sec spell limit while Spell Haste I has a 1.0 sec spell limit? This is usually not that big of a deal, but Feign Death is a 1.5 sec cast. If I use a Spell Haste II item it does not affect Feign Death.

bard songs?

Could anyone verify if this effect affects Bard songs?

Thanks

Bard songs preset in themselves. No focus effects have effects on bard songs, in spell form or item.

Here's a short list of what I mean.
These DO NOT affect bard songs by extneding duration, shortened casting or whatever their intended effect on normal casters is:
Blessing of Faith line of spells
Focus effect spell haste
Focus effect extended duration
Focus effect increased direct damage
Rizlona's call of flame (that's right, our own DD boost song will not effect our own DD songs)
...etc. etc. (think you get the idea)

The only things which effect bard songs are aaxp boosts, other songs, and instruments.
Will the effect stack?

Im a cleric and i have a spell Blessing of Reverence which has the same effect but to 10% haste ( so a 4.0 spell casts in 3.6 ). Would this item stack with that spell or would the effect of the ring negate the spell?

Spell hastes don't stack, the higher percentage haste wins.

So in this case, if you had both, you'd get 15% less cast time.

They do stack, tried it out.
Seems spell haste works same as haste does
You can have item and spell effect.

Does it work?
# Mar 18 2003 at 1:36 AM Rating: Decent
Help please: I am using this effect and affliction haste together (djarn ring & cat-fur girdle) on my chanter. I am casting entrance which is level 34, detrimental, casting time 2.5 and duration 72 secs - passes all the criteria but I see no reduction in casting time.

Any ideas?

First of all, there was a patch a while back that limited "Affliction" to mean spells that remove HPs only. It says "Hit Points Allowed", but what it really means is "Everything without Hit Points NOT allowed". So your affliction haste won't work with Entance.

Spell haste and Affliction Haste won't stack anyway, it'll pick the one with the highest percent haste and ignore the other.

However I don't know why spell haste II isn't working for Entrance. When you look at the spell in its window (right click and hold on the spell in your book or on the memmed spell gem), it should say something like "Normal cast time 2.5, your cast time 2.1 or something (2.125 actually).

If you're just going based on how long it seems to take to cast, then then you probably aren't noticing the 0.375 seconds (15%) saved in cast time from Spell Haste II.

If Affliction Haste worked with Entrance, it'd save you 0.825 seconds (33%). But it doesn't, not since the patch.

Would this focus effect help to increase the casting speed of items with effects? For example, the Deepwater helmet takes about 10 seconds to cast. Would wearing Djarn's Amethyst Ring help to decrease that casting time? I'd appreciate any information regarding this. Thank you.

My thxyl works with my black ceramic band. It's a wonderful range meter: the mob I'm pulling back to Vebekn wants to either catch me and pound on me, or else get out of range and wander off. With the two items, I can keep clicking and stop if I get an out-of-range, or know it's close if I don't get a thxyl-begins-to-glow.

Did I spell thyxl right? Oh, well.
