does this work with summoning mage pets? ex: air, water, fire,or earth pet.
What about other items?
# Sep 08 2003 at 12:31 PM Rating: Decent
Does it only help prevent you from losing a Stone or what about a bat wing for Leviate? Does it work for other spells like that?

It works for any spell that uses components that doesn't summon an item. So it does work for things like levitate, enduring breath, etc., but does not work for spells like the various magician item summoning spells, enchanter "enchant metal" spells, etc.

is this effect stackable?
RE: stackable?
# Feb 24 2003 at 2:35 AM Rating: Good
This effect does not stack with itself, i.e. you can not get all 4 items and stack 'em to have a 60% chance to save your precious peridot.

The effect does stack witht he manapreservation, spell haste and other forms of focus items though

Hope it helps

Would this spell effect work with clicked items. For example, a robe that has a clicky effect: Summon corpse; will the spell effect work on that or no?
RE: stackable?
# Apr 01 2003 at 10:54 PM Rating: Decent
I believe it works for any spell or click item that uses a reagent, though I could be wrong.

reagent ??

Ok- I am not fully understanding this- does this mean that it does not use my stones for my Symbol spells or what?

That's correct, Aleahna. Each time you cast a Symbol spell (one of lvl 60 or lower) there's a 15% chance that you won't lose a stone from your inventory. As an Enchanter, I use it for my Rune series and have saved quite a few peridots at 10.5pp a piece. I believe it will work for any other spell that consumes a reagent as well. Not a bad effect at all.

Oops, quick addition. I have not ever seen the effect work with spells that enchant metal or distill mana. Maybe I'm just unlucky, but I don't think it works on them.

RE: reagent ??

It's not meant to work on spells that create items. Only reagents that cause and effect and give you nothing tangible.
Cleric Symbol?
# Dec 29 2002 at 4:17 AM Rating: Decent
It works on Cleric Symbol as well???? If it works, I can save a dot(10pp) each cast!
RE: Cleric Symbol?
# Jan 20 2003 at 9:31 PM Rating: Decent
Oh yes this does work on Symbol of Naltron. Saved 3 dots in a row last night, making me a very happy cleric! Then failed the next few, but still saved me 30pp or so

While hunting in Western Wastes a lvl 61 friend of mine cast this spell on Tantor... I do not know if it was resisted or not... I doubt it... However it most definitely drew aggro.
what level?
# Sep 16 2002 at 9:38 AM Rating: Decent
What level does you have to be for this effect to work?
RE: what level?
# Sep 16 2002 at 9:41 AM Rating: Decent
Ooops forgot the clarify, what level do you need to be for the weapon effect to work. I see that it is a level 60 necro spell.
# Jun 12 2002 at 7:29 PM Rating: Decent
i thought that if a spell was an effect of something it doesn't use mana. Are the stats shown as if you bought the spell?
RE: mana
# Sep 13 2002 at 8:21 PM Rating: Decent
Yes, stats are for casting of spell and not from triggered item, although you do still need the coffin for both regular spell and item effect.
# Jun 06 2002 at 6:40 PM Rating: Default
Would you receive a 30% chance to not use components when wearing 2 RMBs? Or do these effects not stack?
Anyone got the numbers?
RE: Stacking
# Jun 07 2002 at 7:17 AM Rating: Good
No, the effects do not stack. Castersrealm has a news article about how the effects work.

You can cast this spell on an animal as many times as you want, and it will never cause agro. This spell is especially useful if you plan to use your animal fear spells, or charm spells. Simply cast Glamour of Tunare on your target before combat to lower their magic resistance. With lower magic resistance, fear spells seem to stick easier, and last longer, as well as charms. This is a very good spell to use in conjunction with any magic-based animal-only spell.
