Why it is useful.

Well - I ain't a caster - that's why this spell is very important to me - I am a WElf Ranger working up all of my tradeskills - You can be sure that when I GM pottery I'll be making myself a faithstone of Nature so I can get my but back home in 30 seconds rather that /ooc Donating for Port to BB/Pok so I can walk home from there PST...

Son of a... Well isn't it nice when you read the whole details of an item and see it is specific class only (CLR) - what a crock... Why would a person who takes the time to GM a tradeskill be left out of the loop on an item like this. Make the thing no drop all classes. Clerics can gate already - you wanna go to Fel later - bind yer tail there... (FYI even tho Kelethin is WElf's home I spend more time in Fel working on my TSkills than I do in Kel in case you are wondering on that...)

These are invaluable to clerics, because they typically bind themselves right outside of dungeons, for rezzing in case of wipes. I can tell you that I have found myself many times in the situation that the druids or wizards have all left, and I am bound someplace like sebilis, or chardok.

I cannot invis, have no sow, and gate only takes me back to the zone in, where I bound. However, I right click my faithstone, and bam, right in the middle of my hometown (Freeport, in my case).

They didn't make this all/all because they don't WANT melees to be able to have easy access to ports.

EH?

From the look of the spell, this is a TP, not a Death Pact. =/ Death Pact is an entirely different spell, and is able to be improved on the chances of sucess by AA's.
Drops also in Skyshrine

Drops off of drakes in Skyshrine, along with various other random 50+ spells.

Don't know if I'll try it or not, although it would be nice to be able to save a chanter.

This spell dropped in City of Mist last night off a Fog Golem
it's worked for me
# Jun 26 2002 at 3:41 AM Rating: Decent
I use it all the time on bards and chanters
Yes a high CHA required. what it does is at death instead of "Loading please wait" they get 400hp back
the que is "(Enchanter's) Death Pact has been fulfilled"
The down side is even if the CHA is over 200 bout 50% chance or less for it to work.
NOt very useful

This spell is next to useless in my opinion. better to have something else more worthwhile up..
The chance of this spell going off is related to CHA. So more than likely the best chance for this to work is going to be on the enchanter, or maybe bard, because of the High amount of CHA required for this. It would be better it to have another spell in its place.

There is a very slim chance of this spell working...I have heard it rumored about 5% and having to do with the Charisma of the caster, but have no proof of this. What I do know is that it can (if it works) return you to life when you die, and it gives you 200 Hp...not much, but it was enough for the Complete Heal to finish and get me to full health in the Kael Arena. Not quite the way I wanted to test and see if it worked, but I was glad to find out that it did. =)

How is this spell supposed to work?
# Apr 10 2002 at 2:32 PM Rating: Decent
As I understand it, this is supposed to work as a form of life insurance whereby if you die while this is up, you are instead (potentially) returned to 1/2 of your HP with XP and equipment all intact.

However, I've tried it a few times and have yet to have it work. Can anyone tell me if this is true? If so, is the chance of the protection comming into effect less than 50%??

Thanks,

Xlistin
