This is NOT sold by Kubder Restona in Qeynos Aqueducts like it says above. He sells general supplies and has the research tomes and the books explaining the combos, and a few other things, but no spells.
Great Spell!

you can also buy this spell from Palais Derekor in neriak foreign quarter. loc 0 in front of the bar. Use find if you are unable to find her (which would mean you are blind, since she is hard to miss)

Black Ceremonial Coffins
# Jun 23 2004 at 2:12 PM Rating: Decent
Any one else think its pretty crappy for vendors in Kelethin (no necros there) to sell black ceremonial coffins, but no a single vendor in Cabilis (full of necro types) sells them?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm?? Seems a bit unfair and unjust to me.

Basically, no. There are gaps between the Lesser Summon Corpse and Summon Corpse spells, which kindof sucks.

You probably need to do the Shadowhaven Trades quest. (Forget the actual name but you have to do some running around and you get a neck item that lets you buy and sell in Shadowhaven. Ah, the item is called the Amulet of the Haven.

Best of luck

Summoning profits
# Oct 11 2003 at 3:01 PM Rating: Good
So many necros still charge 100p to do corpse summonings, though the component costs less than 2p now.

The component you refer to is only used to summon corpses of players under level 35. If a necro is summoning a corpse of higher level player, the component costs 70pp or 150pp depending upon the level of the necro and which spell they are able to use.
Coffins
# Sep 07 2003 at 5:32 PM Rating: Default
Everyone here is saying stuff like, "I found coffins here!" and "I found coffins at the guy..." All merchants that sell bags, not just backpacks like at general merchants, but all merchants that sell bags & boxes have black ceremonial coffins. For some odd reason, there is no such merchant in PoK, so don't spend all your time wandering the streets like a bum looking for one.

Darius Gandril in Plane of Knowledge sells coffins.

In fact, Darius sells all the basic spell ingredients...batwings, peridots, etc.

I don't see the black ceremonial coffins needed for this spell listed on this vendor.
RE: Coffins
# Dec 12 2003 at 1:45 AM Rating: Default
There are at least two merchants in PoK that sell coffins. I remember that a friend needed a different one than what one had and had to go to the other. Sorry I cannot tell you who or where exactly (cause I do not remember) but I do remember there being at tow and each with different coffins.
RE: Coffins
# Sep 13 2004 at 6:05 PM Rating: Decent
Yes...

And the Coffins you see there are...

Jade Inlaid (Non-stackable)
Jaid Inlaid (Stackable)
Sold by the DE across the pool by the fishing supply vendor

NOT Black Ceremonial....Which can be found in the Bazaar, across from the Trader satchel seller..

Summon Corpse: Clarified
# Jul 15 2003 at 10:39 AM Rating: Excellent
I thought I'd add this for clarification.

Lesser Summon Corpse uses one Black Ceremonial Coffin. Standard price is more than 1pp, but less than 2. Coffins are GIANT in size, and will NOT fit in backpacks etc....

If you cast the spell with no target, you will lose your coffin, and will have no corpse. If you or someone else interrupt you while casting, you will lose your coffin and will have no corpse.

In spite of the yellow spell icon, indicating self only cast in-game, the spell will happily summon any corpse in the zone of the individual you have targetted. This action will also cost one coffin.

Toolboxes hold GIANT items. They should hold these, do they?
RE: Summon Corpse: Clarified
# Jul 29 2004 at 11:19 PM Rating: Decent
Most of the items, like the spit, hold giant items. I used my spit to carry the mammoth tusks when I was collecting them in the frosts. I dont see why that wouldnt work too.
Good Luck

The reason they cannot be put in backpacks is that they themselves are containers, which cannot be placed into other containers

Components
# Apr 19 2003 at 9:51 AM Rating: Default
Has anyone ever tried using either a savants cap or a bat skull earring? I have always used these for my pets and it should work for the coffins also. Take for instance the batskull earring it has regent conservation I. This allows you to always use one bone chip for your pet up to lev 24 or something. Then savants cap Regent Conservation II. Uses 1 bone chip for all pets up to 49. Then you get a Iksar Skull Cap Regent Conservation III. I believe it will use one bone chip up to level 60. When these items shimmer you dont use any bone chips. I know what you all are thinking if you are still reading WTF does this have to do with coffins. If your item shimmers while casting summon corpse you have a chance of not using a coffin. You reap the rewards. This also works for peridots and rezes also from what I have been told.

The effect Regent conservation does not guarantee you a savings on components used in spells. It only gives you a chance to not use a regent.

That being said, yes, it Regent Conservation focus effect of the appropriate level would give you a chance to not use a coffin to summon a corpse. Magicians summon necklaces with this effect. It's one of our more underutilized summoned items.
