this spell is better than chill bones in pvp cuz sometimes you'll get a message when you try to use chill bones on someone who's mounted and it'll say, "you can't change into that form on a horse" or something like that. since this doesn't have the illusion with it you can knock someone off horse anytime it lands

Best use for this spell is when you're aggro kiting a caster and he starts to gate. Once the mob is over level 55 and you can't Screaming Terror it, the Bones DDs are the only way you have to stop the gate.

perhaps this has been nerfed since you made your post, but I casted ignite bones on a live mob and I could not use an undead slow on it while it was under an illusion.

I have heard but am far from certain that the stun/DD spells with illusion are not affected by ID4 items since they are coded as a dot because of the illusion. In the same thread/conversation or whatever I heard this and the stun/fire DD are affected by ID4. Since Burning Affliction focus requires a minimum spell duration of 30 seconds and the illusion lasts for less than that it would be harder to focus. ~10% more damage might make it worthwhile.

That it is indeed just like chill bones without the illusion that everybody hates on raids. 6k still seems a bit excessive to me and with the new torbins DD spells I am thinking that it is even less usefull. But still useful where you have a mob (usually an epic mob) that is immune to or has a very high resist to fire/disease/poison.

Anybody know if there are words for this one now? :)

What's up with this spell? I know it exists, seen is selling in the bazaar for around 6k, the info on this has to be wrong. It is exactly identical to the spell Chill Bones, but that spell goes for 200pp or so. If someone has this spell, please post some info on it, and what it does. Hate spending all that cash on something I don't know about, thanks

The point of this spell is that it doesn't have illusion skeleton. If you're raiding and make the giant bellycasting dragon into a man-sized skeleton, you've just pissed off every caster guildmate.

Verified.... This is the exact same spell as Chill Bones, but minus the skelly illusion.... Not worth getting unless you loot it... The new DD spells added with PoP expansion make this and the fire version of it pointless to buy.... During raids, if you come up against a mob that has high poison/disease resists.... Just use lifetaps, and if by some crewl twist of fate both those spells are being resisted... Suck it up and just twitch the clerics... Your raid will like you better for being a twitch ***** then a crappy wizard anyways.
