Spell Drop Rate

There are far too many spells on the loot table for the various classes and too slow a drop rate.

We spent weeks in Skyfire killing hundreds of mobs and many of the mobs listed for this spell. I came away with 3 bags of spells for all that trouble and no Forlorn Deeds.

We were able to get all four pearlescent shards for the cleric but no sign of this spell.

Forlorn Deeds drops rarer than epic drops?! Been searching the bazaar for the last 3 weeks and not once has this spell been available on FV.

We've leveled beyond it just searching for it and now will wait for the 65 spell Dreary Deeds (banked).

When the drop rates are so slow as to be inane, there's no point in earning it.

Its rather easy to make and I think dreary deeds cost more mana and has shorter duration. Sorry I am not on FV if not I would have made it for you easy. =( good luck brother.

And I think Enchanters are intended to be behind Shammies when it comes to slowing. Still, our haste spells blow theirs out of the water.

Cast your tash, and then this slow.
It's not that great of a slow because of the sorta high cast time, but it's still the second best slow in the game, so don't complain TOO much hehe.
Black Scar Gots it too!

Got it to drop today off "Black Scar" while trying to clear named to get the "Guardian of Felia" to spawn. Easy kill but i am sure i killed "Black Scar" like 15 times before that so not the most common of drop =) Hope you have luck finding it too!

Essentially it means you need to cure 16 "levels" of disease to remove the slow effect.

As an example Cure Disease removes 1 disease counter, so you would need to have it cast on you 16 times to remove the spell.

Counteract Disease removes 8 counters.

Both "named cycle" in Skyfire and mobs in OS drop spells about 1 in 2 or 3.

Skyfire is "safer" in that it is outdoors, easy to zone and relatively easy to pull singly. But you really need a tracker. There are 4 named mobs up at any time (well the next spawns about a minute or two after you kill one), one in each quadrant of the zone.

If you can handle Sebilis, and have the key, then the pulls will be much quicker, and the zone in mobs have less hps than most of the skyfire ones.

You will need to deal with casters in both zones, although in skyfire each mob can only be up once, so if Faerie of Dismay and Felia Goldenwing are up elsewhere in the zone then they won't spawn in the cycle you are doing.

Of course there are a LOT of different spells that can drop, so if you are only looking for one it could take a while. In fact you are more likely to get it by selling the other spells you loot and buying the one you want in the bazaar.
