So outside of raid bosses (higher Saves vs magic requiring -1000 modifier of sieve/Theft of thought), this spell is amazing. It is ideal for soloing healers or group-named (boss) content. You can still use on raid bosses just expect it to be resisted at a higher rate than sieve or ToT.

I love how it doesn't break root, it does almost double the mana draining of a sieve for the same mana cost (yeah, takes 2mins though). It does decent dmg which vs heals it a must. The fact it interrupts casting is a bonus, AE stun, count to 4 and start casting this = double stun. Reducing int/wis drops mana overall as well for in combat regen.

To the guy that commented about our dot spells getting resisted because of necro spells this is false. It isn't their snares it was their Cor debuff line. It just does a stronger debuff than our best dot asphyxiate. If you use the grasping embrace (one spell previous) you'll never have a problem as it has higher debuff than necro Cor debuff line. It just does lower dmg. However, in raids like velious your job is debuffing not dpsing. Actually your job is never dpsing its your pets job if you charm one or providing buffs to help others dps more / debuffs to stop dps from NPC's.

Remember yeah, shm can cast our debuffs (we cast theirs?), but they are on group heals / malo / slow duty...what is the enc doing?....nothing? big full mana pool doing nada... anyways hope that helps someone GL

Stacking?

What other spells will this stack with? I know the other Chanter DoTs won't stack with Necro snares, but I was wondering if anyone had a list of spells this will / will not stack with --and on the ones where it won't stack, is this overwritten or not?

This spell does not break roots. I use it to deal damage needed to get full experience while charm hunting solo without having to run for my little Gnomish life when both root and charm break at once, as is their wont.

Clearing it up

Basically what it does it reduce the target's mana by 700pts and hit points by 560pts in two minutes (20 ticks x amt per tick).

Nice spell against casters, it also will interupt their casting and it stacks with other chanters casting this spell. This DoT plus, sieve, and Theft of Thought (ToT) will reduce caster mob's mana quicky. Used alot in ToV and other high end casters.

unclear
