This spell is 8 years old and isn't researchable. Need to farm wurms and suck in Skyfire, so you can hopefull get drops, so you can hopefully get a pet and a damage shield you need as a mage. And What can melee do? Oh, go to bazaar and buy some leet weapons.
Makes no sense at all. A casters weapons are his spells. To penalize the low game like this is just stupid.

This dropped off of a mob in Seb for my mage today. We were camping near jugs trying to get a reet crown. Don't remember if it was reet frog that droped it or on the jug mobs. I did not know it was quest until I looked here to see if the air pet is better than the fire pet.

You can buy it in the Bazaar or you can do the trade in quests for it in Fironia Vie, or Overthere outpost if you are Evil.
These "Buy it in the Bazaar" posts were dubious advice at best when they were posted years ago but now they are downright false. Everquest population is down serverwide and people do not hunt in zones before Omens of War. As a result, many of the previously widely avaiable items and spells are no longer in the bazaar. More up to date advice would be to turn in the spells that the NPC is looking for and hope to get this pet.

After 16 years, I'm not listing every friggin character.
I've handed in ELEVEN copies of the various spells this guy takes (2 Scars of Sigil, 6 Gift of Xev, 2 Quiver of Marr, 1 Bristlebane's Bundle) and have gotten:
5 Boon of Immolation
3 Vocerate: Fire
3 Scintillation
0 Vocerate: Air
Either the Air spell is rarer than the others, or, more likely, I'm insanely unlucky like usual.
