Useful Spell

Best use of an AoE spell is when you have a mezzed creature next to the one your group is fighting. The group gets the target down to 35% or so....then you cast this. in the casting time they are further dropping target's HP. so you finish it off with this spell. If you have a good group, they will ll have high hp alllll along. Your cast of this spell breaks the mezz on mob number 2. In my experience this type of spell does not cause as much hate as a single target of the same amount. Another point: after that cast you will have done the DMG of this spell X 2 mobs!! So really, we're talking about 990 dmg for 285 mana. That makes this spell pretty efficent.

I must disagree with your " Best use of an AoE spell." I am going to assume you are new to the game and do not know of what we call A.O.E. Groups. Now an AOE group does not have any Tanks just classes that can cast Point Blank aoe spells. Your AOE group must have Enchanters and Wizards and a Cleric. Your group finds a nice tight corner and huddles together hugging each other. You send one person out to pull as many mobs as possible 10 mobs or more. Then puller brings em all to your group.

Enchanters chain cast Point Blank Stuns till all mobs are dead.
Wizards and Clerics cast point blank DD's till all mobs are dead.

I am sure you would agree that this is the best use of point blank AoE spells after you give this a try :)

My Ideal A.O.E. group has the following.

2 x Wizards
2 x Enchanters
2 x Clerics

Now some would disagree with my 2 clerics but I happen to love clerics and they not only have great PB AOE spells they also have Group Heals, Thick Armor and DA that is great for pulling mobs.

Does anyone actually use this spell at this level? it's a PB AoE Spell with no stun and 495 dmg for 285 mana! I don't what the deal is here, this spell shouldv'e been givin at like lvl 44 , because I dont see any real good use for it at this level, think maybe the programmers need to pay more attention to game play then code, IMHO this spell will not see much if any use from me, anyone out there use this spell, and if so for what?, we already have better AoE spells and I don't know about you, but as a Wizzy I dont enjoy getting toe to toe with my targets if you know what I mean, if this spell had a stun, I could see it being more usful in getting out of a otherwise bad pull or something , but no stun makes it not popular on my list.

um read it again , does have a 1 sec stun , plz be aware of you facts before you blog ,, sheesh !
