Sirens Grotto to Western Wastes

Evac is THE easiest way to navigate through Sirens Grotto to Western Wastes on the way to Temple of Veeshan. Simply swim into SG,cast Evac and get swept to entrance to WW.

For evac I use Markar's Relocation, which transports the entire group to Emerald Jungle. Emerald Jungle is relatively safe. The cast time is 9, and with haste gear you can get it to 7.7. Noone gets left behind. From Emerald Jungle you may make your way back to the zone you were hunting in using Translocate: Group and Gate, if you have previously bound yourself and your group members close to your hunting zone. Abscond is self-only. Translocate: Group excludes you, and you cannot Translocate yourself. The drawback to Markar's is that you leave your hunting zone entirely (if it is other than Emerald Jungle), which may require you to fight your way back to where you were, but so would a successful evac within the same zone, in most cases. Time is of the essence when evac'ing, and a pop-up consent window for the evacuee can slow things down. Failsafe transport of every group member is also paramount. I haven't experimented with Translocate: Group to find out how long the consent window for the evacuee can be left hanging. It might be possible to cast TL: Group far in advance of trouble, and just let the evacuee evac himself with a quick click.
Getting left behind

Everytime you cast this spell, there is an EXTREMELY small chance that someone would get left behind.

We were about to die from a train in Torden, I casted the spell, and walhaa, we're sav...? WHAT THE??

Everyone else who was in my group at the time evacuated to safety - And for some reason, me, the caster of the actual spell - was left behind, and quickly died from the train =(

So there is an extremely small posibility of the actuall caster being left behind.

Yes, there is a small chance that someone will get left behind by an evac, and yes this DOES include the caster...happened to my wizard once before kunark using one of the old evacuate:<destination> spells
the difference

the difference is the casting time, less time to cast is a better chance of living

Hmmm, 2.5 secs difference isn't exactely and upgrade from level 18 to level 57. It should be more like a 5 sec cast time on this spell. I only hope that this level 57 version has almost no chance of leaving anyone behind, then I do think it will be worth it. Otherwise, sticking with lesser evac and spell haste which drops its cast time to 9.8 secs, and you can see why this new one doesn't appear to be anything like an upgrade should be.

So what exactely is the difference between this and lesser evac?

Evac only pulls 150 mana from each member of the party (of course this only applies to players with a mana pool). If a player doesn't have 150 mana, then they are left behind. Lesser evac requires 300 mana, so it's more likely to leave someone behind, and it has a longer cast time.
